Could someone please recommend me some good boots that:
Are waterproof at least to the ankle
Are warm
Won't get sucked off in the mud
Will last more than a few weeks
It's not vital that I can ride in them, but would be an advantage.
After getting fed up with freezing cold feet in wellies, I bought some Harry Hall mucker boots in November - those ones with the fur lining and the suede uppers. Lovely. The lining lasted about a month, then the rubber part split after two months. End of those.
At the beginning of January I bought some of those long boots with the fur inner sock, rubber foot and webbing up the leg. They lasted three weeks before the inner sock disintegrated and the webbing split up the back.
The problem is, I work with horses as well as having my own, so I'm in these boots from dawn til dusk, seven days a week, just about.
I've been recommended the Aigle Parcours ISO wellies (the ones with the neoprene in them). Has anyone had any experience with these? I don't want to go and spend £100 on a pair of wellies for them to give up after another three weeks!
Or can anyone recommend a boot at a similar price that will last?
Thanks!
(Chocolate cake for anyone who's got this far ....)
