have been away for the weekend...went up tonight and YM has used two of my new rugs...whats the problem you may ask?? Would'nt be a problem other than neither of them fit and were going to be returned this week

you think she might have noticed they were small!! And why not use my older rugs which were just as accesable

why did you leave the new rugs at yard if you were going to return them? many owners leave things that dont fit their horses! as YM we have to assume that what you leave is what you want used?

Sadly they are not mind readers

She maybe thought "these are a tad small",but not down to her to think "oh they must have been left here so they can be taken back to shop??"

Unfortunately you have noone to blame but yourself if you didnt tell her not to use them,or take them home out of the way!!

They were left in my tackroom not on my rug rack...they were still in all there packaging,I'd have thought also given the fact they did'nt fit might have given a clue that they should'nt have been used..

Have you spoken to her about it??

well if your in luck she'll read this and wont be your YM for much longer

(only joking, but all jokes aside, maybe sell them on ebay as used once?)

Unless you said to the YM "I will return them then" I'm afraid I agree with those who have said its really your fault - YMs are not mind readers, and it seems like a reasonable assumption to make: she's left them here therefore she still wants to use them.

i really feel for you...my sharer did something similar recently. i bought my two some new rugs and said that they were emergency rugs for when all of the others were wet (bear in mind they have 3x turnouts each at the moment so really were true emergency rugs for when it rains for days on end). so i went away for two days and gets a text "they look so cute in their matching rugs"...was a tad annoyed as were meant to be spares only...even worse when i got back and found 4 year old with rug underneath him because it completely did not fit...was really obvious that it was too tight across chest and didn't fit him in the body...but like you couldn't return as they'd been used...

I did say I'd take them back after the bank holiday I really don't think i could have been any clearer, and it was'nt like there were any others to use,and what I have been using and what she has used!!
