Yorkshire people, where are you all :)

Could I be a potential to come? I can't do the first 2 weeks in August (Trailblazing :excited: :terrified: ) and would need to organise transport (north Leeds...) but if I can come I'd like to.

Fat little cob tends to channel her inner rodeo horse though and I tend to fall off :unsure:

Maybe you should organise it into a charity ride or something RG? Get a discount for large group using Escrick, then we all pay the entry fee, plus a couple of quid on top of that, which can go to charity? Just an idea.

Mollymoomin, don't worry, I tend to fall off when attempting to jump too:o, so both of us, and possibly Stencilface, can be the entertainment for the day!!:D

I'm just south of Howden and will have space for one in the trailer, although not sure if I can take a mahoosive 17hh-er.:o Saying that tho, I have a big old trailer, so one might fit.

Hi,
I'm pretty nearish to Escrick/Selby when at home(which i will be over summer hols anyway) so definately count me in please! It is our local XC and always nice for a ride round! Possible space for someone else in the trailer with the chilled out orange guy if a lift is needed! :)

Keep us posted; always keen for 'social riding'!

We've never ridden with more then like 3 people haha.

How exciting! :D

Does this mean we all now need to start wrapping our horses in cotton wool before August and making sure they are shod at least a week before to ensure no loose shoes etc etc

Well you know what it's like, when you plan and look forward to something, our horses try dam hard to get out of it! :rolleyes::D

If I do end up riding the brown thing, I will be going nowhere near the jumps - otherwise I will be going backwards at Mach 3 - or swiftly flung out the side door :rolleyes::cool:
 
I am in Worksop - please let me know the date - if I am not competing would like to join you guys. I might have a spare 15.2 TB mare if anyone doesnt mind a hyper ride :) She can be a bit loony in crowds :)
 
I may be able to do some ‘stunt jumping’ on my space age Cornish pasty too (along with my rhythm beads of course;)), surely that’s worth people turning up for!:D

I'll worn you I do have a habit of making excitable screaching noises every time I come over a fence, Stencilface may be able to vouch for that! lol
 
Lol at Kenzo - I don't remember any screeching?! Some squeaks maybe - although I wasn't sure if they were't coming from the horse?! :D

Little squeaks with show jumps, loud screeching with XC jumps;)

I get a bit too excited at times, I don't get out much :(:D

Indy, it would still be nice for us all to meet up (we could have a bit of a lunch/BBQ afterwards when we come back from our ride), if anyone struggles with either transport or is horseless, those in that situation could bring a bike, so we'd still all get to have a ride...be it horse back or on a push iron or on foot (bring a mutt), would be still be a good either way?

Will make sure dad is armed with camera for a couple of group shots (he tows the trailer) but he's grumpy and none horsey, so wont take any once we get going haha.

Well you never know I might be able to sort a spare nag from somewhere unless you want to share big man and take it turns on him.

My jumping is bad enough without doing it on the wonkydonky (who jumps at her own shadow) in a treeless saddle (may try the treeless on the TB if I end up getting one, if it happens to fit her etc) so there could be comedy moments!:o
 
I think it's OK for me (provided I can get transport - Guiseley if that narrows it down for anyone?? Mare is a witch to load but will go on with a chifney and travels well - really well, given the palaver she puts up going on, I blame it on the Welsh side ;) ) but need to check rota at work tomorrow.

If for whatever reason I can't get the cob there and I'm not working, I might bring Muttley along and take some photos? I am not promising to be any good though!

hi, I am near beavers, no worries, I may be able to convince Y/O to come and 'x/c school' one of hers :) she ahs a wagon, maybe share :)
