Hey all, were cracking the flatwork with twig my 4yo tb shes been going fantastically well but the past couple of days i have ridden her she has been a bit 'gobby'. Her last insicors (the corner ones) are coming through, you can see the adult ones coming behind the baby ones so its obviosly these that have been bothering her the past couple of days. shes going to her first show (dressage) on saturday so if anyone has any tips on making her feel more comfortable i'd greatly appreciate them!
schooling tonight she went better down the long sides where i could ride her forward but doing loops or serpentines was when she was really struggling, yes a lot of it is being an unbalanced baby but she definately wasnt happy in her mouth and i was really trying to leave her alone up front! Someone has suggested using bonjela and someone else has advised giving her a bute tomorrow night and sat morning. Im not really fussed from a marks in the test point of view - going to a comp and havig a nice day out is the main aim, would just rather she felt a bit more comfortable!
