I have just got off the phone from the vet, and Wonky is booked in to have his bits chopped off at the end of the month....

It is an incredibly hard decision (please no nasty replies I know some of you think he isn't nice enough to be a stallion anyway) and something I had said I'd never do, but having chatted with my boss, my OH and my vet, I decided that I didn't really want to sell him, and the only way I can really keep him is to have him gelded...He is still advertised for sale, and if someone I like comes along, and offers a good home, he may still go, but D-day is the end of the month (I have to go overseas for work on a more regular basis soon) so if he has not found a new home by then, his bits will be in a jar (well probably in a hazardous waste bin) and he will be kicked out for a few months to recover. My boss has been very good (non horsey work) and has said that I can stay in the UK until I am happy he has recovered from his op.

I just hope I am making the right decision for him.

I've read your past posts about him although haven't replied before. In your circumstances it does sound like its for the best. Hope it all works out how you want it to.

I 100% think you are making the right decision for him, it will open up so many more oppertunities for you both in the future. Good luck.

From reading your other posts it does sound like the way forward and now opens more doors for both you and him.

Would be nice for you to keep him but also equally nice for someone to take him on now and get him settled into to some form or work so he can really show us what he's made off, specially over those fences!

Hope it all works out and don't get those balls mixed up with the pickled onion jar!

It sounds like you are making the right decision for him and everything is falling neatly into place to let you keep him - it must be fate!

Well I think your horse is lovely and miss seeing him on your sig!
For what it's worth (and I know nothing about stallions), I think this is a good decision and like someone said above, I am a big believer in fate. Perhaps you just weren't meant to sell him and he will turn out to be the horse of your wildest dreams! Good luck x
