Pretty much what the title says! As I can't school Chilli properly at the mo, I'm watching a whole load of videos for inspiration and have stumbled again across some of my favourite dressage freestyles. I'm wondering what everyone else's are?! And because we're all so individual I think it'll be interesting. We all have different taste in music, different taste in horses etc. I'll start off with an absolute classic: Debbie McDonald and Brentina

I love the music, I love that even though the mare isn't the most crazy or expressive mover she gives her all and Debbie rewards her and I love how they stay composed down that final centre line, even though you can't hear the music for cheering!

2 of Carl's for me...
These are the ones that give me goosebumps. And make my eyes leak.

Uthopia London 2012. The tension was incredible, because you just knew something amazing was happening in british dressage at the time. Not a perfect test, but I think thousands of us rode every step with him. And the music is spellbinding.

Nip Tuck Olympia 2016 (a very emotional night, OH took the piss relentlessly as I could barely see through the tears) A very well deserved winning test.

I’ve always loved Klaus Balkenhol’s 1994 WEG routine with Goldstern.

And because I obsessively watched the Gigolo vs Bonfire video when I was growing up, I have a total soft spot for their routines from the 1995 Europeans too.

Just watched Klaus, wow! is my main thought, looking at how different things are now. That test was four years before I was born so it's not one I've seen growing up. Love the horse, though. Gorgeous chestnut who looks to want to please!

The absolute best piaffe (other than Fuego :-) He was a lovely horse, but suffered terribly with nerves, which is odd for an ex-police horse (or possibly why he was an ex...)

Oh some brilliant ones here! I also love Ulla and Rusty's from the 2003 Europeans, gives me goosebumps every time.
My favourite of Valegro is the How to Train your Dragon one.

I'm sure I've forgotten some I loved, I'll be back...

I have shared some of my faves on FB over the years, then they pop back up every year to remind me :) I sometimes watch one before riding as that's the thing that will motivate me above all else, when it's dark and raining, to get on and keep on going :o maybe one day....

Yes, all brilliant choices - am currently wasting much time rewatching :D

I like this one, not because it is technical or conventionally world beating, but because I think it is just a really lovely piece of riding to music: https://youtu.be/b6N_4jsMu48

Absolutely, I do that too, not necessarily freestyles, but watching the really great riders is always inspirational, never stop trying...

the first year I ever really watched any and never forgot this one. Partly because I have a thing for the walk music anyway ;) and the canter he was just dancing

fuego is stunning, lifts me out the everyday, makes me feel i now know what to aim for, when watching him, the joie de vivre, a vision of equine art.

The how to train your dragon freestyle is probably my favourite out of valegro's pieces of freestyle music :)

I love a number of the ones already mentioned. But one of my favourites is Laura B's 2012 to Lion King, with her big chestnut horse it fit him really well.

Yes, that music was perfect for him. Plus a real crowd pleaser!
