This one always amuses me! It was our first ever go at XC schooling together and he’d already had me off twice. The instructor asked me to “just walk” down a small step. I told her I didn’t feel that would end well and I was right!

(I should add that we later worked out he hated the bit he came in - changed it to a snaffle and he’s fab XC, although he still can’t see the point of steps!)8D2928E2-833E-4D66-8A03-80876DE4FAF8.jpeg

This. Actually a very sad photo and I didn’t know my friend had taken it (she had arrived in her car shortly behind me) I was waking my three in before the vet came to put to sleep socks (the newforest on the right) due to liver failure.
She sent it to me a few hours later and of course I burst into tears!
It’s very peaceful and I love it.

Not sure if this counts.. but one of the happiest memories I have captured beautifully.. I always wanted to ride on the beach as a child we used to live 3hrs away from the closest beach and had no transport :( When we moved to wales a few years ago we were 30 mins from the beach and had a trailer!! It was a beautiful summers evening my boy absolutely loved it - pure bliss! :D I didn't know it was being taken so .. please allow it ;)

Some lovely funny photos.

But Pippixox, your photo. So beautiful but I can imagine how heavy your heart must have been on that walk.

The joys of sequential photos on my new-at-the-time digital camera.
This horse was eventing (successfully) at BE Novice at the time but just could not fathom out this water jump at a schooling session, he is the most genuine of horses though so kept going whether he was right, wrong or somewhere in the middle! We actually swiftly gave up with the water complex after a short time as it wasn't doing his, or my, confidence any good. He never had any problems with water jumps in his competitive career at all, before or after this.

Eyes shut: Looks like we were travelling at speed, but Toby didn't do speed EVER! He was just leaping into the unknown......Tobyeyesshut.jpg
....And landing badly:

I'm swearing here, luckily no video :D

Not long after I got Buzz he ruptured a tendon so my two boys were out next to each other (old man v. laminitic, went in a large sand pen with hay instead of field - lucky as it was built for me!) the smaller pens next to his were used for lame horses or those that needed some time of grass so I got them next to each other and thought it would be a nice photo op.

I have three favourites.. One you will have seen before as I think it's on another thread somewhere.. I like to think this one shows that he did love me ;)

This second one makes me laugh as he was always getting himself stuck somewhere and then used to give me this look which usually meant 'help me'. This time it was that he didn't know how to get down off of that bank at the side of the sandschool.

And I like this one because it shows how goofy he is with his massive nostrils! It was mid-neigh which was his go to response when I called him (I think he knew it meant it was lunchtime).

I love this picture. It sums up my mare perfectly.....looks of an angel.....all the grace of a hippo 😂

This was taken minutes after she decided to pop out of her field into the field next door leaving my partners gelding distraught. Her on the other hand; no ducks given whatsoever 😂Screenshot_20190215-120420_Instagram.jpg

Never had a horse called Starzaan. They are Charlie, Sherlock and Jay man.
Apologies for confusion. Starzaan is another poster on here - and I remembered her posting a pic of herself asleep in a stable with her lovely grey horse. It wasn't the same pic though - I just recognised your's as you've posted it before!

Yes I have, as far as non conventional photos go, it is a goodie, as was Charlie. He did all the BD, BE and BS as well as hunt/team chase. After all that he taught my OH to ride as well as a lot of friends.
