kk_zps71709853.jpg

And maybe £400 worth of stuff for her in the tack shop ...

Red rug for b1 to match b2 who had a red one. It didn't match so also red rug for b2 to then match b1!

Leather dressage saddle for b2 as he aced his first dressage test the other week.

Sabre bridle to go with new saddle

tretorn boots as the mountain horse ones I bought last month rub delicate skin

All my yard boots appear to leak :( spent it all on b1&2 though so plastic bags in boots it is! oh ans L got the rug that b2 had which started it all! I did get a fuzzy glow when I brought them in on my lunch break and my 3 babies were there all in red rugs b1&2 all matchy matchy :) even if I did have damp feet at work all afternoon in the office.

a trug tub for my mini Shetland, as I feel guilty that he doesn't have his own colour and has to use kelseys purple bucket, so I ordered him a yellow one! it arrived today and its fricking hug, its the wider bucket that they do, so pretty much big enough for him to climb inside! gerrr!! so he's going to have the biggest bucket and is the smallest horse

I'm glad it's not just me who does the bags-in-boots thing! I once really had to race home from the yard on my bike as the Tesco man was coming and was so flustered, when he asked me if I had any bags to recycle, I blurted out: "No, because you see, I put them all in my boots because they've got holes..." he looked at me like I was mental but I can't really blame the poor man... :)

2 detachable hoods for my pony who is due to be clipped on Friday. Plus last week I got him a new PE pony rug :D Spoilt boy. I also got my other pony some new OR boots.

A cement mixer,

8 safety fences

and 3 hydraulic pumps and associated pipework.

All bought at York Auction Centre machinery sale this month, cement mixer is to finish building the field shelter which was part-built by the previous owner of our smallholding, the fencing is to make a temporary arena and the hydraulic pumps (we only want one but they were a job lot) are for the tractor that I bought when I bought the horsebox last year.

Then today I wrote a cheque for the hay and straw bales that we had delivered.

I'm a bit like that, on Jan 1st I will be shouting 'he's three, he's three! I need this and that and this and that......' when in reality he wont be backed till this time next year!

Yep, this defo!

But I have my TB mare still in work so can spoil her.
Non essential purchases
First ever matchy matchy set- cant wait!
Rambo full fleece lined Chaps- one could argue these are essential.
Fleece combo rug- replacement for ripped one
New Yard boots- replacements for 7yo holey ones!

Actually really impressed with myself!

Well I bought some long winter Mountain Horse boots (having had that make in the past) and they have let water in after wearing them about 4 times!! I've taken them back and told the lady there must be a fault with the seams but she's advised me that they were 'never advertised as boots suitable for outdoor use', therefore they apparently aren't designed for wet weather. They were £89 - I've never heard such tribe in all my life and will be writing to Mountain Horse about them!!! My £8 Asda wellies are miles hardier than them. Well and truly peeved!

I've spoilt my mare just lately. I spend more on her than I do on myself.

Over the past couple of months she's had;
-Rambo Micklem bridle
-Premier Equine cooler
-Heavy, medium, and light weight turnout combos
-KBF99 brushes
-2 Saddle cloths
-Clippers
-Tendon & Fetlock boots
-Pessoa training aid
-Bandages

I've also treated myself to some breaches and a Joshua Joans show jacket which is yet to arrive which I was measured up for at Scope back in August :/

I bought myself some hi-viz cycling commuter upper leg chap things for £1.99 in Aldi to ride in in the winter. They're so lovely and warm and dry I went back and got my friend a pair and splashed out on a two pack of riding socks for £4.99 whilst I was there. I'm so high end :D

I've bought an exercise sheet as all of last winter I used one that was a cast off and too big! And I bought myself some Ariat Glacier boots as I was fed up of buying boots that ended up leaking after a couple of months! I splashed out on rugs last year and had them cleaned and reproofed after the winter so they are all ready! So at the moment I just need to stock up on things like pig oil etc then I will tell myself to stop spending!

Oh but I've got a saddle fitter coming Saturday for a new saddle, oops! :D

I now need a new cooler/fleece rug - had a bit of a rug incident this morning - horse fine, rug not so....
Will probably get one from YHL along with lots of other stuff that i'll definitely need :)

I've bought two event photos from when we went jumping (we did shockingly bad but the photos I chose make us look like we vaguely know what we're doing :p ) and a shires fleece that I think is amazing (plus, its purple!) and tomorrow I'm going to get one the same but with a neck :)

Going to YHL next weekend, half looking forward to it as I've never been before but half dreading it as I'm sure I'll spend all my money!

I've just ordered a drop noseband, and am about to order a pair of Equilibrium tendon and fetlock set, and ariat grasmere's :)

I've done well over the past few months, my not-so-new mare is using most of my old boys grooming stuff and training equipment.

She has had two very nice new saddles though (mixed/eventer and dressage).

It gets a bit depressing wandering around a tack shop and coming out with nothing!

I've just ordered some clippers though, which I'm very excited about (poor pony!), and I'm about to embark on a rug shopping expedition.

I did see the OH on the iPad last night on something that looked suspiciously like the Robinsons' website... Christmas present maybe?? Slightly worried as he's not horsey at all so have no idea what I'll end up with but even that he's looking is a good sign!! :D

medi-k.co.uk, do a medical info tag, small black with white writing, sticks to left side of riding hat. Also contains contact details, so not only for people with conditions requiring medic alert. Think blooming good idea for those who ride out on their own. If you got thrown & were unconcious how would people know who to contact (about horse as well as you) or help you? Called 'medical data carrier', with postage was under £6.

I'm not letting PetePony see this thread, he'll be calling the RSPCA for not enough purchases :D

In the past two months bar livery & insurance paid, straw, hay, a hoof trim, a bag of fast fibre and two lessons, all Pete has had is a pack of polo's!

I am going to YHL when I'll get him a Parelli hackamore & I might splash out & buy him a bag of treats, as I feel a bit guilty reading this thread!

Hmmm, either good sign, or Very Bad sign, and he's costing up how much you've been spending :p
