Zoom update! Packed and ready to go!!

We're back!!

Zoom and I have been in Dorset for a month with limited internet access. I was working there and so took Zoom for a holiday. Zoomy stayed with the wonderful 4leggedfurries and her wonderful parents. They took such amazing care of us and we had a lovely last 4 weeks together.

I am just about to go down and get Zoom ready - the lorry arrives this afternoon to take her to France :( My mum is already out there and I am flying out in the morning. She is stabling in Dover tonight and going on the Ferry tomorrow so I will be there to meet her when she arrives tomorrow afternoon.

I will document her journey and post when I return in two weeks........I'll need lots of cheering up since I'm going to miss her SO much.

Please all send vibes for a safe journey and think of Zoomy tonight and tomorrow.

God - it's really happening now :( She is the best horse I ever could have wished for and she owes me nothing. I just hope she settles ok.
 
Wow, France! To live with your parents?

Is she being retired, or just having a long holiday whilst you are at Vet school (termtime)?
 
She is going to be living with my parent's next door neighbours and will be doing pony club with their grandaughter :) She will be SO well looked after but I will miss her loads. My mum will see her everyday so I can have lots of updates. It is going to be really hard being so far away from her though :(
 
I don't start until 27th september but have been on a placement for the last four weeks for vet school. Can't wait to get started, hopefully it will take my mind off missing my pony! x
 
Wishing Zoom a very safe trip and bon voyage to France! Hope she settles well and has fun at pony club. And good luck to you too for vet school - very exciting!
 
Will be thinking of you and Zoom on your Journey to France, I hope it goes well :) Please take lots of Piccys of Zoomy in her new home!

Hope all goes well for both of you. Have you been teaching Zoom French? I imagine all she'll need is "allez", "arrete", "carrottes" "pommes" and "dejeuner". See I knew my French degree would come in handy some day!
 
Just seen this to. I was wondering how you and Zoom where. I must have missed lots of posts from you (sorry :() As I had no idea any of this was happening. I hope zoomy gets to france ok and has a lovely time overthere while you are at vet school buisy studying.
I'll be abit more observant now looking out for your next post to say all is well.:D
 
Lovely to hear your news, I was wondering how the two of you were doing!

Best of luck with Zoom's move to France, we'll be right behind you next Monday! I know you will miss her loads, but it sounds like she will be in a lovely home and once you start vet school you will be really busy so it's a very sensible decision.

Weren't you on placement at the Fox-Pitt's or somewhere exciting like that? Or am I just imagining that!:o
