My horses live out, on Friday I put a turnout rug on one of mine who needs it, within an hour the rug had blown off him, how did it do that, no leg straps just a fillet string, the rug was still done up, / chest/ belly straps . It was awfull here.

I took all of my horses shoes off years ago, and booted all 4 feet and carried on doing my 2 hour dayley hacking , buy boots and carry on as normal. As you horse will probably need them .
we did out first cut yesterday for haylage , we are saving the second cut that we did in the hot spell just in case we can make more hay , it’s been awfull .
