Hi hoping for a bit of wisdom/advice
I have a pony who I've had for about 10yr from a tricky project he's now a fun hack and hunter and pretty essy but I'm struggling with time and feel that I'm struggling with the balance in life and not making the most of him or everything else.
He's not a...
Hi all,
Just wondered if any Royal Welsh attendees could give me any tips for a first timer at the RWS tomorrow, will traffic be horrendous is it better to arrive early or a bit later? Do you need to arrive at main arena events very early to have any chance at seeing things? Is it possible to...
As said before K M Peyton all her books are brilliant more YA would be Blind Beauty, The Last Ditch, The Sound of Distant Cheering, Flambards, Small Gains - I'm a bit of fan ;) Caroline Akrill is also brilliant if you've read the eventer trilogy there's Flying Changers which is a bit darker but...
Without wanting to cause offence maybe your youngster would benefit from a bit more preparation, nice video on teaching horses to cope with injections https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRAIdnQmzak&index=2&t=0s&list=PLZLor1KlzkI9X1UpvbOxwllS1BNoLvcmR I have a pony who when I first acquired was...
I think of Apoquel as a pretty safe drug compared to the traditional alternatives of steroids but might be worth looking up and discussing cytopoint with your vet if you've got concerns about it or it isn't suiting your dog. Its not cheap but probably works out similar to apoquel. Rather than a...
The only other perspective I can offer is that when I was selling ponies I'd owned as a teenager (some years ago) I initially attempted to find adult homes for them with the idea they'd get a home like you sound like (ie perfect) but found that most adults who viewed them and the 2 who had a...
Very sorry how sad, do you know if your vet has reported it to the VMD, if not you could https://www.vmd.defra.gov.uk/adversereactionreporting/Product.aspx?SARType=Animal if they get reports they investigate and makes changes to the data sheet advice or add warning to the drug.
I'm another who wouldn't vote for them anyway unless they radically changed their policies on the NHS etc... But for what it's worth I did think they'll actually call a vote and I don't think they should, I'm fairly pro hunting but the dust has settled now why stir it.
Check your on right channel I was on red button 0 (channel 600) but needed to be red button 1 (channel 601) hope you're sorted, I was getting very cross with TV then worked it out!
You might have thought about these but, are the horses next to him also bedded on pellets/paper or could their dusty bedding be upsetting him? What's the stable set up is it american barn vs row of stables, is their air movement? how well ventilated is his stable? if it's not great could he swap...
I would add to your advert, what you want to get up to with your potential steed and how flexible you are about this and maybe approximately how much you weigh, esp if you wouldn't mind hopping on a pony. Might be some opportunities with kids having exams coming up.
I'm watching day one on catch up - the cat finding dog feels like satire... Especially when they started chatting about how if a dog could be trained to find a cat they could be trained to find a person after saying two mins previous that's what inspired him.
