Wild out there. Morning of 16th Oct '87 I woke at 6am and thought they had dropped the bomb. Walked to work in the City. Meltdown started on Wall st in the afternoon...but most of the dealers were stranded in Essex so nothing cd be done....Freaky times....there's a bit of that vibe around...

Well, it seems that Saff has been bitten by something ( bug or snake?!!) just by her left udder and is having an allergic reaction. There's a biggish swelling which I will be monitoring. ..if it moves along her tummy or gets bigger, the vet will be needed again and blood tests will be done to...

Saff was diagnosed with arthritis a fortnight ago. She has been on MSM/glucosamine and bute before and after being ridden (which hasn't happened owing to the weather!). I got her in this am with a view to riding( vet has said leave her out as much as possible because it's better for her to be...

Furthermore: It is one thing to jump in sticky/slippy conditions outside. The horse recognises the issues and deals with them...but it is unfair to expect him to perform in an indoor environment which he, with some justification, expects to be safer and consistent. I suspect that one or two...

Spoke to the vet...reckons it's just artthritic stiffness...after all, pony has been living out until this week, so it is a big ask: a whole 12 hours in a stable after wandering around a 4 acre field. I just have to keep an eye on her in case I see similar behaviour a propos of nothing..then...

I held my breath from the start because it was clear that there was an accident waiting to happen...though Cavvy's tragic demise was not it, because it seemed to come from a stride error rather than the lethal going.
