    Is he really that under-weight?

Hi *waves* I think he's light but not appalling.. as you said previously you are going to up/change his feed that should help, plus new grass.. He hasn't hunted all that much this season though has he ? (I could be confused - been out 6/7 times ? ) but I know you go on long 'ol hacks and do a...

Would you hunt a horse that you hadn't...

Ever had a gallop on previously or jumped more than one or two small things on ? My hacking friend wants to hunt her horse (her first horse, her & his first hunt) but she has never had more than a little controlled canter on him in the field and popped one or two small fences.. I think...

Stan is a TB - just under 17hh - he's a mediocre doer in Winter and a good doer in Summer. He's fed Adlib hay, Speedibeet and Alfa Oil with Pink Powder in Winter and nothing in the summer. I voted for agree with YO and do whatever she says as I am the YO I'm kind but firm. No silly buggers...

Thanks for the encouragement peeps re going hunting but..

90kph winds and driving rain put paid to my hunting plans (yes, I'm a wuss but there was no way I was taking green horse out first time in that!) Did go watch the die-hard maniacs that did go though with a friend and we had a lovely time (in her jeep!) She got some lovely pics that I'll upload...

Flippin weather - due to see a horse today should I go??

    Training aids for topline...

I love them.. brilliant for helping muscle development, cadence and balance.. (and vastly cheaper than a "proper" pessoa!) Wouldn't be without mine.

Stories of courage please! Wibbling like a mad thing!

Thanks Sonnet! I'll be trying hard not to puke on poor Stanny but guarantee nothing! You are doing well so far I thought! 2 years isn't a long time tbh after an injury like that.. You'll be fine! I'm not brave - simply stupid

A good sized flask of Percy Special will be attending with me! And several hot ports will be had for good measure! (The owner of our local, where the meet is, makes a "Hunting Port" too.. Hot port with a shot of sloe gin in! I'll be having that!)

Stories of courage please! Wibbling like a mad thing!

Sadly I have no-one to come with me mounted but the hunt I belong to are super supportive and thrilled I am finally making it out - they are a great crowd and will look after me The close call with the canal is a bit  ! Hopefully Stanny will behave himself, he's usually very laid back...
