    How about citting with scissors as long as its not close to the skin?I know when my gelding comes in plastered in mud I get the shedding blade out(but its no where near this),ive also learnt recently that kids scissors are brilliant for cutting mud out of feathers,i pulled the blades apart...

    how do i get my horses mane thick?

    Ive found plaiting and contiditioning has improved my lads mane,i also only use a dandy brush or my fingers to comb through,already in the last year its improved and second trimming the ends.

    I found this works also with my mare but I used shaveings as a base layer,shes on semi deep litter and works perfectly....so I dont stink and neither does she,my gelding next door actually enjoys chatting her up now.

    So long to the sunshine... and no singing, okay?

    Been lovely yesterday and today,no rugs on horses and me taking my jacket off sitting in the sun with a cuppa ha,ha. :D Suppose to be light drizzle tonight I hope so as harrowed paddocks and need a bit of rain to give my fields a boost as its well draining so drys quickly.
