different sayings from different regions, what do you call things?

In Manchester where I grew up a slice of hay is a pack. All bread bun type things are a muffin. As in ham muffin, muffin toast etc - seems to a very localised thing as you get a blank look anywhere else but North Manchester. I think people think I'm asking for a sandwich with a muffin of the...

Roma bonded leg/bandage pads-anyone got any? what are they made of?!

I have these I think, they are rubbery foam on one side (black side) and white towelling material on the inside. They wash well but come up a bit short on my 16.1 as travelling pads and are more suited for under exercise bandages I'd say.

Sorry, not much help but sounds very much like my girl. Unfortunately never have been able to afford made to measure so have had frequent saddle changes through the years as condition, work, age etc has altered the fit. Thinking back.. I seem to remember a Barnsby GP being the one that fitted...

    flectron fly tags .........

WW have pm'd. I had been trying to get hold of these myself. For those worried the active ingredient is the same as Deosect horse fly spray and is licensed to be used for horses in that form. As with fly sprays it warns of possible skin problems in very thin skinned/sensitive animals. IMO I...

    cattle fly tags on horses?

Bumpety-bump :-) Anyone else? I'm also very interested in using these as we have water, cows, sheep and other fly attracting stuff sharing our yard! Isn't the active ingredient the same as those in the 'stronger' (ie come with warnings for handling) horsey fly sprays? I'm not sure whether it...

can u recommend a non bute supplement that actually works?

Ive had really good results (to the point that I got bounced off for the first time in years!) with equine answers premier flex plus. Its firstly a joint supplement but contains devils claw at a high dose. It works out cheaper than most of the natural painkiller supplements and you're feeding...

    Rubber matting 'safe' stable disinfectant????

Another vote for Virkon. you can buy it in sachets for for single use or larger containers if you are using it regularly. Don't actually know if it claims to be safe for matting but we've never had any problems. It also smells like sherbet!
