I am in need of a coat for riding. Windproof and preferably. shower proof., long enough to cover that gap between top and bottom but light enoigh that i can fit my airjacket over the top. What do you have? Budget up to about £120. Dont need 'designer' label but must be hard wearing. Thanks...
This summer we were making hay in 24 hrs, yields were way down. Some of our hayledge is mot much different from 'wrapped' hay nut at least we can store outside. None for sale this year as all needed for our own cattle.
I am in need of a new Level 3 2018 BP. Currently wearing my elderly Racesafe every time I ride. When I bought it years ago I believe it was 'short' however it constantly catches the cantle when I am sitting upright in the saddle, it is incredibly annoying and I feel a little less safe like...
We always had ours in crates overnight , but i the last 6 months or so I have allowed the old girl to sleep where she wants, we found she was getting stiff if not able to wander about. She also has the odd wee on the floor but that usually happens if she is feeling a bit 'off'. The younger dog...
Please don't laugh too hard, but I was wondering if anyone had ever thought about using some kind of rear view mirror when hacking out?! Since my fall last year, I find twisting in the saddle quite hard. Wondering if a mirror would help, not as twisting round replacement but a back up...
I think the mare would tell you, by her health, is she maintaining weight whilst doing the foal well, our mares only breed every 2nd year, still going around 21/22 yrs but would be retired at the first sign of an issue.
I don't have the rubber skirt in my trailer. One side was torn after pony had a loading meltdown so rather than risk further issues I removed it. Looked at refitting, but as it had been rivetted on it wasn't so straight forward.
Ditches for me, especially trakhener type, my old boy always refused one on a particular course every time. The day he cleared it first go I burst into tears when I went through the finish!
Stick to the novice class, if you need to use the gag then do so unless the show stated to be using certain rules. You may get some criticism from the judge, but you could explain its your first time, and take it on the chin for experience should you choose to try again.
A timely post for me! I am currently using 'nextdoor's' arena, the old neighbours left last summer, the new ones are still pulling the house apart, eventually the arena is to be removed and replaced by a tennis court. I am hoping to take what I can from it and build myself one. However, I...
Take her out for a walk about and don't worry about going in the ring. Does she have a quiet companion who could accompany her, so she sees there is nothing to worry about? Also chose your show carefully, a really quiet one, In hand only if possible.
New pony arrived last week. I attempted to keep them separate for a few days but Sam was having none of that. Poor Mo has a couple of nips on her shoulder, nothing nasty but probably a bit sore and some broken skin. Whats the best thing to treat? I have sudocreme and summer fly cream. He's...
