    New Forest ponies

There may be several reasons why he is registered as part bred. Most likely as others have said, that Dam was not registered, but could also be too much white on his body, normally long stockings or a patch of white where it shouldn't be or even blue eyes.

    Never simple is it? Lami/cushings

Had mine PTS at 15. If I could have kept him n work it might have been manageable, but he was a lethal twat and I came off one too many times. Lame after 3 days of retirement.

    Overtaking in the go-round?

Don't overtake in front of the judge, that would be very poor etiquette. Keep an eye on everything around you and if you think you might catch up to the one in front at the wrong moment circle away or slow down. If you can do all your manoeuvres behind the judge, so much the better.

    Hay suppliers

If you have native ponies fit enough to compete successfully (SJ or similar) at amateur levels, what does your week look like in terms of work?

Bit late to the post, but have you had a vet check for heart and lungs? If stamina is not there, there might be an issue of heart/lungs not functioning as they should.

    Gloves Recommendations

Help please, I need some grippy gloves, principally for long reining but probably riding too. My brakes failed when working this morning, combined with a slippery lunge rein, pony took a left turn on a right hand circle! Have now put some knots in lunge lines, but I feel the addition of some...

Riding lesson for 5 yr old.

Our RS will no longer take children under 6. We used to take little ones but no longer have the help on the ground necessary for leaders, plus the instructor. No matter that finding small suitable ponies is like looking for hens teeth.
