I would be very wary of a wooden floor, I previously has a Rice with a wooden floor and my horse HATED it, she wouldn't travel in it at all and put her off loading forever. It was my first trailer, and all I could afford at the time, (I was unaware of the additional bounce a wooden floor has)...
I don't believe I have been 'unsisterly' my problem lies with the fact that just because people have endless pots of money, they get to be 'designers' and make claims that they will be world class dressage riders.
Both of these require a life time of work to achieve, and for a celebrity, ANY...
I was trying not to be too defamatory by saying she was 'intelligent' you are totally right about people throwing opportunities her way, and her shamelessly cashing in on everyone.
Regarding 'bringing a bit of colour into equestrian' (sorry I dont know how to do quote thingy mejig) there is an...
I am an equestrian wear designer and work my socks off to bring great value, great looking, quality clothing into the equestrian market and have worked damn hard for years to get into this fortunate position.
To see collections like this spewed out onto the front of a previously respected...
as people we all have quirks, thats what makes us who we are, and our horses are the same. It would be awfully boring if they just behaved, what would we have to talk about!
I trapped a nerve in neck a few years ago and my physio recommended taking up yoga to strengthen my 'core' I have been doing yoga since and my back is much stronger and it is fantastic relaxation
I have the weatherbeeta fleece combo and got a size smaller than usual as her rugs usually slip down and are a bit too big around the neck (tb)! It is a great base layer over winter and the neck straps don't choke. Brilliant to throw in the washing machine and kept looking like new all winter...
I had a very greedy horse and I used to double up his haynet, so there was one filled haynet with small holes, and another with small holes over the top so it was more of a challenge to keep him occupied! I would be worried about the snack balls if they were eating something chunky without me...
Sorry to hear about your poorly boy, has he had any injections in his neck lately? If he has, it may be a reaction to it, this happened to my mare and the lump grew from about golf ball size, to rugby ball size in about 7 days (with daily vet checks).
If he has, please get the vet back out and...
I had the same problem but it was other horses undoing the velcro on the muzzle! I used vet wrap around the velcro fastening and just used the clip under the chin to take on/off. It kept it on and also stopped the velcro rubbing her cheeks.
Happy Dieting
I looked for four months and I saw 14 horses before I got my brilliant mare, and until her, not one was described correctly. Sadly I lost her within 11 months, and 8 months on I still can't bring myself to look for another, its horrible looking, but when you find the right one, its all worth...
I too had a terribly stubborn horse (cleveland bay - say no more)! I tried the natural megubbins and to no avail, she was a stubborn strong headed old thing, but as soon as the saddle went on, she was perfect!
Em's party trick was rearing, kicking when doing hooves, not loading and backing away...
Many thanks for all of your input. Love the idea of a hoof pick attachment, I have a very sensitive soled horse and always carry a little hoof pick with me in my pocket, so would be great having a holder/clip.
Anymore suggestions, I would love to hear them, even if they seem ridiculous!
I am a designer researching into developing the PERFECT jacket for riding and mucking about the yard. I would love to know your thoughts on what you think would be the perfect jacket for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. Anything from pockets, hoods, zips, poppers, fabric, interactive layers...
