Would much rather spend £30 on a joules top, that way i won't be laughed off the yard!!!
A bit desparate to feel they have to put her on the front cover!!!

im sorry but i cannt STAND what that woman is making of the equestrian market! she is turning it into a laughing stock, pink and glitter?! really?! she is merely feeding the chavs in spite of the rest of us.

I personally Don't like Her....

And i Love Pink.. but she has taken it way to far....
Have u seen the ad for the summer collection in the Horse and hound Magazine...

That horse looks like it's thinking.... oh and I thought I was Vain ...

i HATE katie price. if she wanted respect for doing something like dressage, then she should have taken out the hair extentions and the fake nails aswell. i think shes a crap rider and certianly does not deserve a place in 2012 olympics over all the ones who shed blood sweat and tears to get there!!!

But a lot of the young kids love all the blingy stuff. i have seen a few of the jackets and fleeces round the shows. the only thing i like is the blue rugby top but won't be paying £35 for it.
There is obviously a market for it and she has been astute enough to see it and act upon it. Good on her.
Tbh, most un-horsey people have no idea there is any such thing as KP equestrian.

i saw her ridding at hicksted and thought she looked a right mess! clearly andrew has been ridding the horse and she sits on it for the glory!

esactly. that horse is gorgous and katie does her no justice. what the hell happened with the flying changes?!?! im sorry, i know im not the best rider but i would have had 10x more respect for her if she compleatly changed her image. pink and glitter is embarassing to the equine image!!

Pink and bling not my things but there must be a market otherwise Derby House wouldn't be promoting it - they obviously see £ signs

maybe but dont you feel that if she had got rid of her glamour model image, then the people in the horsey world would have more respect for her? i would. but she chose to come out at HOYs and make a compleate fool out of herself!

i can see why kids like the clothing range but i wouldnt let my kids wear her stuff because of her background and all the filthy conotations attached to this.

I live near DH. Used to be a little gem of a shop that you went to if you were going to treat yourself to something nice.

The move to the new premises was the beginning of the end for me. The KP range greets you as soon as you walk in.

Definitely a business opportunity for someone to open a shop like DH used to be.

I am an equestrian wear designer and work my socks off to bring great value, great looking, quality clothing into the equestrian market and have worked damn hard for years to get into this fortunate position.

To see collections like this spewed out onto the front of a previously respected company, infuriates me. No questioning she is a intelligent business woman, but if she really wanted to get respect within the equestrian world, she might want to try being involved in it for the love of it, and not to make money from shamelessly selling tat.

Equestrianism is one of the great british traditions that is left in the uk, and yes of course, it should develop as the world does, but that does not mean putting sequins on it.

my thoughts excatctly (SP) !!

I don't actually mind the fact that she is trying to bring a bit of colour and 'brightness' into equestrian clothing. I think it's the way it's being promoted that's wrong.

As someone said earlier, if she is serious about being a competitive dressage rider, she needs to tone down the bling and dress like everyone else dresses when they compete.

I mean, come on - when she was riding at Olympia she had bl**dy plaits in her hair!!!

shes not intelligent! she got her knockers out, sold a lot of filthy mags and have had opportunities thrown at her by people happy enough to bow to her every wim and ride on her image!

She made a lot of money out of it though ...

shes far from intellegent. if she had gone about it differently fair enough.

i dont want her representing britian in 2012!! former porn star and glamour model - also selling clothes to children. No thanks?!?!

when her brother or some told a horsey mag that they had just bought a full brother to Escapado.. She asked ... is that good?!?!?!?

No, my comment was said tongue in cheek

As for 2012, there is more chance of me riding there than her (ie - none)

I was trying not to be too defamatory by saying she was 'intelligent' you are totally right about people throwing opportunities her way, and her shamelessly cashing in on everyone.

Regarding 'bringing a bit of colour into equestrian' (sorry I dont know how to do quote thingy mejig) there is an abundance of colour on the market from hors***re, to tog*i all doing it with a twist on tradtional styles and traditional tones, and livening things up without being brash and tacky.

I am not doing any advertising here, I do not work for the above mentioned brands!

Look at it another way... she got her knockers out a few times, made millions of ££££s which now allows her to do the things she loves/enjoys. I tell you what, if I could make that sort of money from getting my knockers out, I'd do it in a flash and I wouldn't care what people on HHO, or the rest of the world, said about it!

I think KP is a very clever business woman. She knows full well that she won't get into the squad for 2012 and TBH, you'd have to seriously question the integrity of the selectors if she did. I would have thought that by now she would need to be on the World Class Prog to stand a chance, and I don't believe she is.

People seem to get very excited and/or upset about KP but IMO she's taken too seriously. She's made a hell of a lot of money through doing something that the majority of people on here wouldn't be brave enough to. I think I detect just a shred of jealousy in some of these posts about the fact she can afford a fantastic horse and a great trainer... So what, she's got money, and so what she has nice horses? It has no bearing on anyone else's life so why worry? Live and let live, and all of that

Oh, and I was chatting to the owner of our local tack shop last weekend. He said they have stopped stocking all of the Ariat range of clothing because "it's too dull". They've sold it all of at 70% discount just to get rid of it and have replaced it all with the brighest, pinkest Joules clothing they could get "because it sells". He also said he wishes he had access to the KP range as he gets asked for it all of the time! Try to remember that if there was no demand, it wouldn't sell. You can market something as much as you like but you can't make it sell.
