    Sharing a horse

I am also a sharer, for almost 3 years now! I have seen other shares end badly so my one bit of advice would be make sure they know what's expected of them. Fortunately, the owner of my share is very hands off when i'm there, she respects that I will only do as much as the horse is capable off...

    Hacking around Dale Abbey/Ockbrook?

So excitingly a week tomorrow my loan pony is moving up to a yard near Dale Abbey!! I'm hoping some of the other liveries will show me some local hacking routes, but does anyone on here know of any? Thanks!!

    What should I wear?

That's brilliant thank you! I'll keep my eye out for a second hand tweed jacket, I already have jodphur boots and a pair of dark trousers I can use in hand, but will look at getting a cheap pair of lighter trousers for now and then will stick with the same jods and tie for dressage and show...

    What should I wear?

Couple of hopefully quick questions here.. Last year I took part in my first ever local show with the loan pony, but stuck to the show jumping classes as I know the rules regarding attire aren't quite so strict (I went white shirt, navy jacket, canary jods with black gloves and boots)...

Summer camp for non- horse owners

Haha! You'll be lucky if I clean my boots beforehand! It'll be enough of a job remembering to leave my hat and things in the car rather than at the yard. Would look a bit of a numpty if I turned up without even my hat!

Hi Vis - Products with lights on?

That's brill thank you! I don't ride in the actual dark but I am sometimes going through the village as the sun sets, the last half hour is off road and I like being visible to cyclists and walkers etc as well.

Hi Vis - Products with lights on?

After some product recommendations! I've got a bit hi vis mad recently, had a couple of near misses out on the roads (but have no choice but to ride on them) and have decided to kit both myself and pony out in as much hi vis as I can so no one can use the excuse that I couldn't be seen. I...

    Dangerous Driver! *RANT*

My coat is an equisafety one so I have reflectives on my arms, afterwards I did think that I was wearing black gloves so I might look into getting a brighter pair.

    Dangerous Driver! *RANT*

Have to get this off my chest and need to rant somewhere! Went out for a hack on the little coblet this afternoon, decked out in high vis with my hat band, coat and flashing LED breastplate. Hacking along a country road, visibility was good, road was clear, sun was going down but behind me...
