Inflatable collar, windy dog and vet check up usage

Definitely talk to the vet about Buddy licking his back end as it’s really important the vet has a full history. Often different symptoms can be part of the same problem. The fact that Buddy has had an ear infection as well as an itchy back end could well be related .Also you say he’s been on a...

    Any truly waterproof jackets …

I have a variety of jackets all from Trespass. Some are for the winter and filled with down and others have no filling for the warmer weather . They have either 10,000 or 20,000 waterproof and I’ve never got wet in any of them.

    Spraying buttercups

Optimum control of buttercups is before flowering. However uniquely, Envy can be used after flowering as well, giving a good level of control Contains 100 g/L fluroxypyr, 2.5 g/L florasulam This is taken from Envy application and guidance notes. Hope this helps.

    Spraying buttercups

This spring I had my fields limed and fertilised. A few weeks later sprayed with Envy. They now have no buttercups and loads of grass. Best they have ever looked. Also buttercups were in flower at this time.

Pictures Avoiding the pony club kick

What I find helps with someone who fiddles/ over rides / interferes in front of a fence is to get them to come into a low grid at canter, once they have made the turn and are straight to the jump then close their eyes and just concentrate on the canter rhythm. If you can’t see it you don’t...

    Tension in Dressage

Picking my way through this thread has been fun and I’ve found it both interesting and informative. I spend a lot of time on the forum ( and still manage to do the horses and everything else that’s required) but don’t post much unless I have something new or relevant to add. I’m also...

Interesting article about temperature regulation in horses. Worth a read

Ambers Echo , thanks again , I suppose the word “draw” to me makes me think of an active process with the walls sucking the heat out of the horse 😂

Interesting article about temperature regulation in horses. Worth a read

Ambers Echo thank you for that, makes sense. I do wonder if the word “ draw” was an unfortunate choice, as it changes the whole meaning . I agree it would be good if DM could answer some of the queries ,especially as he’s been active on the thread. Having the author of an article answering...

Sorry! Another ridden fly thread! Hoods?

Hi mine wear the Roma buzz away fly mask with fleece and nose both in the field and hacking. I find it fits easily over the bridle and causes no issues . Agree with Red-1 . Hope that helps .

Dog growling - but not aggressively

Hi , I had a dog that used to growl at me for attention, he would also sometimes chase his tail or roll around to attract my attention but along the way I must have rewarded him more for growling. Looking at a dog is enough of a reward. He seemed to do it the most if I was busy in the kitchen ...
