    Little rant about sharer

Thanks for the replies everyone :) I was a bit disappointed to learn that she had trotted the pony up the road today too whilst her mum walked out with her. I was too tired but normally go myself. I do appreciate that she's an ambitious teenager and wants to do more. Despite my advert perhaps I...

    Little rant about sharer

I'd be keen to know your views on this... I have a girl 14yo ride one of the ponies in my care (belongs to my neighbour) once a week. From the outset I asked her mum to arrange PA and public liability insurance policy & suggested the BHS gold membership as a good start. I also asked the mum...

    making *THAT* call

It's such a hard thing and I really feel for you. It's the last demonstration of love we can give. She's lucky to have you as an owner, it breaks my heart to see them kept on for too long. Better a day too early than a minute too late. Good luck and keep your chin up x

    poo picking work

Ihatework thanks, I thought so. Going to try post office and tack shop. I had a lady lined up who has postponed once and now let me down on the morning she was meant to start. So frustrating!

    poo picking work

Twiggy, thanks for replying. I'd not thought of the field size as a prob (and hadn't put it in an advert either). I'm going to divide it up though as to make the job seem more appealing. Would you expect more money?

    poo picking work

Thanks for the reply. Yes I was thinking maybe a local kid may want 20 £ week for a couple of hours work. Say 3 hours at 8 £, that's £100 ish a month. I'd have done! I know, lucky ponies. I should divide it up but am struggling with health and pregnancy at the mo so I'm not as regimented as...

    poo picking work

Why can't I seem to find anyone to do this? I'm prepared to pay for it, £8/hour for weekly visits of 2 hours or fortnightly of 4 hours, give or take. It's for 2 ponies over 6 acres. Any ideas? More £££? Thanks

why have a horse if you have it on full livery?

Life's about choice... I'm out the house 13 hrs a day working, soon to have a baby. It's about prioritising for me and how best to use my energy, time and money to get maximum enjoyment out of life.

why have a horse if you have it on full livery?

I pay someone to poo pick as I'd rather save my energy to ride. I'm not in the best of health. I have horses to ride I'm afraid, I love riding. I have dogs as pets!! Each to their own though :)
