Equestrian property in France - where would you look to buy?

If you were looking to buy an equestrian property abroad (France), where would you look? I won't give too many details here but it is a large house, stables, loads of outbuildings, new outdoor school, cross country course and 25 acres with fabulous hacking right outside the gate. Fab place...

    2nd hand lorry dealers- selling

Yikes! I would have been peaved. Perhaps the o.p. might do just as well to pop a card up in local tack shops/feed sellers/livery yards...

Pony dislikes her legs hosing.... Ideas please

Thanks all. Have begun the negative reinforcement method on the pony. Re not hosing, I do understand about natural grease and we haven't hosed until now, but they are coming in with a VERY thick layer of mud on the legs. So thick it just stays on the leg (on the rugs it takes days to dry out)...

Pony dislikes her legs hosing.... Ideas please

Advice please. Pony coming in from new field needs her legs hosing but dislikes it immensely (has to go through thick mud on way out and back, no choice as no other route). She is dodging the hose, circling, anything to avoid the water. The same if we try to gently use a bucket. She...

Which will trash the land more?

This is how I would split it: 3 paddocks, sharing. This always gives one paddock a long resting time. You will need to follow Natures guide, it's not just poaching you have to think of, consider also the time of year, the land itself, the flush of grass, individual requirements...

    Continued unrest with livery client

"Request to also rent livery yard alongside cottage from LO, offer to take on YM's retired gelding as companion to your horse, tell other livery to sling hook. Enjoy place to yourself." OR If it were me, I'd ask to rent the whole place alongside the cottage, and enjoy having it to myself...

Do we over complicate our horses feeds?

I recently emailed one of the larger feed manufacturers to enquire about one of their products. They asked some details, then messaged me back with info to say they didn't have anything to suit my horse but here is the next best thing we sell. :eek3:

So what do we think of this …. ?

I remember passing a couple of riders who appeared to be in a foul mood, the rider on the outside turning and waving her arms about shouting. I could see clearly, there was nothing 'going on' anywhere - and I ALWAYS pass wide and slow. It was a quiet road, and only my vehicle on it at the time...

Can you imagine your life without horses?

I've lived and breathed horses all of my life. I've worked so hard, often against the odds (opps, a pun!). No. I cannot imagine. Nor do I want to.

    Wehope - Puissance

Anyone just watched that (or was there)? Have just turned the TV on. So funny, noooo no nooooo said the horse, and these two blokes in dinner suits and bow ties (who are in the arena) just couldn't get out of the way quick enough. We had to laugh, looked like they were nowhere near the horse...
