Hello everyone :)
I have made the decision to sell my new mare, and I'm after recommendations for the best places to advertise that get a lot of traffic, as I've not had much interest from adverts on Facebook, Preloved, Horsemart. All the free ones basically.
I'm not opposed to paying...
Mine was going to be clipped this weekend, but I've just sent her rugs off to be cleaned and repaired, so she might have to wait until next weekend now.
It seems too soon to be clipping, but I need to get it over and done with.
I feel your pain!
This month my box has had it's MOT done, luckily nothing wrong and flew through...phew!
This week, farrier, dentist and chiro for my new mare. Also need to order my hay in for winter, and think about restarting the mares vaccinations! Always a pain when I always kept my old...
Not yet either at my yard.
I'm planning on not bringing in overnight until the end of October when the clocks go back.
I'll just rug accordingly in the mean time.
I have a 2007 Renault Master. It gets used once a fortnight if it's lucky and my battery never goes flat. It also doesn't go very far either when it does go out. Starts first time.
I would be looking at changing the battery if it dies that quickly.
Sounds about right really. I would get insurance in place, then if anything was to happen, you are covered :)
When I got quotes from Petplan, they actually have the option to choose that the horse is on loan and not owned by you, so other insurers might do that.
Bumping this up a bit :)
I'm going to try and get hold of a Wilkie, Kimblewick and a Waterford snaffle and see if they help.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
My 3.5t has a payload of 1200kg.
Mine isn't completely enclosed though as that'll reduce the payload, it's got an emergency exit, should anything happen, but touch wood, mine is quiet to travel :)
Anything like tack lockers will add extra weight. Mine has 2 bridle hooks and 2 saddle racks...
I haven't looked into that yet no, but definitely food for thought. I've currently got her in a crank noseband with no flash.
Her previous owner did have her in a grackle and a gag, so I might give the grackle a go.
It's hard to decide what to look at as she isn't overly strong, especially out...
