Good luck!!
That's fantastic well done you!
Is it wrong that I still have my PC badge with the red felt underneath on my jacket even though I passed my B ten years ago but left pony club 5 years ago?!!!!
Was proud of myself then and still now!
Oh well never mind!
I waited YEARS for mine but finally got some for Christmas - went for the new black colour and I've not anybody else in them (yet!!) I'm sure I'll see plenty at various horse trials over the summer!!
They are lovely though, wish I'd got them years ago! Get commented on them at work and out
GOOD LORD!!!
In sunny Shropshire we pay £23 for fabulous large bale haylage and £15 for the huge hay bales - feel very fortunate to have the supplier we do (that includes delivery!!)
Is your horse at home? We've found that skipping out at 9:30-10pm makes a real difference with the task in the morning. Also we HAD to change from haylage being on the floor back to traditional haynets - I know it puts them in an unnatural position etc etc (did and equine science degree so well...
We've strip grazed for the past 15 years or so and the fields and horses have never looked better - usually we move the fence morning and night but only a couple of metres - depends how wide the section is that they're on. We find its better to try and rotate the areas that they're on so it...
When my mum suspected a problem with her horse it was because he'd stopped jumping - a change in behaviour I guess which caused concern. He was diagnosed with navicular which was attributed to being shod with shoes that were too small. This had happened for a year and then the farier had been...
Just read through this thread - crikey it's scary to think about all the stuff we have!
I know our tackroom is overflowing yet there's always something one of them needs - much to my banks (and dad's) annoyance!!
a good one to add to the list - although not a necessity - a washing machine...
Wahl Artiko clippers are fantastic - Ive had mine for about 5 years now and they're really lightweight and quiet. You can also just slot the blade onto the clippers so no need to worry about tensioning etc.
Think they retail about £100ish but the blades are a bit dearer than your average set...
Not got an ex racer myself but I do have a TB. they're tricky criters to keep weight on - I tend to bring her in a night after she's been clipped otherwise the weight seems to drop off her no matter how much she's given. I find that even with ad lib haylage she will only ever eat her fill and...
Lovely pony - looks very similar to the way of going of my TB mare - have faith though!
We have spent so many lessons doing thousands of transitions, initially just walk to trot to walk to trot again and again, even just a stride of walk then pushing up to trot again - it did the trick with...
I think its great to see the differences in personality - my little TB mare is absolute perfection on the road but gets really upset when we go over canal bridges and there's a boat going underneath at the same time! She never worries about the boats when they're just on the canal - only when...
I'm sure it'll be ok - we often have tripe in the fridge - all be it in a well sealed container - and it lasts a while. I think dogs have some crazy high powered acid in their stomachs considering some of the manky things ours love to eat!!
Bernese were used for pulling carts with milk churns on in their native Switzerland. They were bred to be an all round dog used to guard the family, herd the livestock and pull the carts.
Wish someone would tell ours to be docile though - we've got 2 and I don't think a cart would stand a...
