My gelding is always very fearful (and is perceived to be aggressive) of being trimmed by a farrier - seems to be related to the smells and I guess is due to the first time he was shod in Ireland. He doesn't have an issue with a barefoot trimmer (ie one who doesn'y smell smokey I guess).

Hi, I'm looking to get my boy scoped for ulcers but would like to get this done at home (we are in Derbyshire). Can anyone recommend a vet that does this? My investigations so far are not getting me very far!

My vet is also an osteo and he has talked about similar things when I have had him out to my gelding., think he quoted something like 1 in 3 geldings could have hind end issues as a result of scarring.
