I'm a soft touch with my girl She has a tendency to 'pretend' to nip you when you rug her up, and although she has never ever actually bitten me, Mum always gives her a smack on the nose if she goes to nip. I, on the other hand, tend to laugh at her
When she was a baby, I was very tough on...
Cleanboots2 - I dont think anyone is suggesting that you should only have a horse to school for 20 mins. I certainly dont; I like to 'get out there and have a good old ride', but unfortunately at 5.30pm after a full day at work, it just isnt feasible to go out for three hours. So in that...
20 mins of something is surely better than nothing at all?
Regrettably , there have been some days this winter when my girl has not been exercised at all during the day, and she has been in 24/7 all winter. Recently I have been able to take advantage of the lighter evenings and am managing to...

Yay that's good to know - I have one on order at the moment!
Is anyone else's horse coughing at all at the moment? It isnt something I've ever had a problem with Ellie before, but she seems to have developed a bit of a cough this past week. It isnt a real rasping cough and normally follows a sneeze, and I have not found any evidence yet of any nasty gunge...
I would recommend the plastic tendon boots with sheepskin lining - they are made by Roma, Kentaur and Eskadron (in order of increasing price!) They are ace - really smart and can be put in the washing machine.
