I had one of my mares on Oestress for a very short time and it sent her a bit crazy!! She's a very marish mare anyway and dictated by her hormones a lot of the time, but after a few days I noticed a marked decline in her behaviour and she just seemed so unsettled in her character I took her off...
Haha! Thanks! Her name is Louby and she is officially a fruitloop, would jump around like that all day long if she could!! Just wish I had half her energy!!
Will pencil her in for Burghley then in September, she'll love it!! haha! :p ;)
What does everyone think about my girls technique?!
I'm not sure she will make the time if we go up to Novice level this season, wastes too much time in the air... Very Very careful though!! lol! :p
Rest in peace Solomon, I am very lucky to own one of his daughters and have had the opportunity to meet this lovely boy on a number of occasions, he really was the friendliest, sweetest stallion you could ever wish to meet... Just feel so sorry for the Attew family right now, they must feel...
I don't agree that they are all like that, of the ones I've used since owning horses the one I spoke about in a previous post was the only one who "wanted to have his cake and eat it" as it were... All the others were very professional and decent blokes who genuinely were interested in shoeing...
Interesting thread and especially interesting considering that the majority of posters on here seemed to have apportioned the blame to the clients being "desperate" and leading these farriers on... I have recently dispatched with my farrier of 2 years following a series of flirtatious texts...
He's doing o.k thanks L, not 100% just yet but seems a lot happier now he's mooching about outdoors!! Bless him!! Can't wait until he's back up and running again... :)
Thanks, I'm not planning any in the near future as I'm planning on taking her showing and I've got another one of mine registered BD at the moment... She's needs to get a lot more balanced in her canter though as on Sunday all I needed was a joust!! haha!! But once she gets stronger and more...
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments... I think the hacking and hunting have helped her enormously and she's so much more confident now than she was a year ago...
Sorry to have missed you too SS, look forward to seeing you at the next one... I'm booked in for the April session but not...
I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to have a couple of clinics with Harry Payne at a local yard so I grabbed at the chance... So today came around and I decided to take my Highland pony who hasn't seen a school since November when she did her first dressage test and since then has had a...
Thanks, I decided to take her as she can be rather hot in company when showing and I thought it may just help to socialise her a bit more and add another string to her bow. She's turned out to be a proper little allrounder... My aims for this year are to get her out doing M&M Workers and a...
