I'm looking for the perfect nutritious feed for my haffy.

I have two and know your struggle with weight. Mine are out in a paddock with virtually no grass and have a small amount of hay at night, for nutrition they simply have treat balls with pony nuts and lots of veg. Their manes etc are in perfect tact. In winter they have a small amount of speedi...

    field sizes

I have two haffies that are in around an acre between them. They are in a field with others but I fence them off due to the rich grass, mine live on this all year and there is ample room for them to gallop around, gets boggy near the gate but thats to be expected. I would say you will be fine :)

    Ideas for a bored pony?

I used to get mine one i think it was a 5kg one, they have garlic and other flavours, its like tar in texture but solid so takes them ages to get through it, i used to take the lid off then just pop the tub on the floor. (Mine love the garlic one)

    Chaff Advice

I feed mine on HappyHoof chaff, they have that with a spillers lite balancer, fills them up but doesnt give them loads of sugar, feed mine on this all year round and they live out. Keeps them a nice weight and pretty cheap as well. :) They also do a molasses free version

    Ideas for a bored pony?

Have you thought about a lickit? Im thinking more the ones in the plastic tubs? Mine stand and lick them for ages! Keeps them occupied plus they love their treat balls, i usually put bigger treats in so they dont fall out straight away, keeps them occupied for longer! :)

    Can't catch my pony!

*THIS* Had the same problem with one of mine when out in the field with others, once you ignore her and pay the other attention she will soon learn your not giving in.

Riding Boots for us short people

I'm a size 5, I saw some Ariat ones at Windsor horse show for kids but they were around £150 which is a lot for me to spend because I wear them all the time so wouldn't want to ruin some at that amount of money

Riding Boots for us short people

Okay so i'm only 5'2" and can't find any riding boots that fit my leg length they are all too long. I have to ride in boots and chaps but in winter I hate it. Anyone recommend some good boots for us short people that aren't stupidly priced? Thanks :D

For those with 2 or more horses - jealousy?

I had this issue with my girls. One is a lot more dominant over the other when food is involved, she will eat hers and then try and eat the others. Had a similar problem with her turning on me but after a few slaps on the shoulder she soon learnt that she wasn't aloud. I usually stand in the...

    Advise on supplements please :)

Oh sounds like I should give boswellia a go! She never shows signs of pain or as if shes struggling but want to make sure shes comfortable! Does this supplement come in tablet form or powder? And what do you guys give dosage wise? Shes a 14hh haffie but a pretty slim one so not bulky

    Advise on supplements please :)

I currently have two haffies that live out 24/7. My eldest is 18 now and has some arthritis in her hocks (been confirmed by vet and farrier also reckons this is the case) she drags her back feet when moving around but has no problem riding out or general day to day things. Was wondering if...
