Help! To buy or not to buy...

I also couldn't read and run as I may also be in the same position too! I grew up with horses and also owned as a child, but then had 15 years break. I returned to horses last year (as a 29 year old) and they have become my life. I am now married and in a position to buy horse. My husband is...

    Exercise (rider) and riding

Oh that's so great you are noticing a huge difference! I used to do it every day (twice a day), but it was my job so that's how I made time... Lately I've been doing it 3 times a week but want to try to do it every day again...like snowflakes said you can set aside 30 mins before bed and do some...

    Exercise (rider) and riding

Don't go for hot yoga! It's actually quite dangerous (really easy to pull muscles) as the heat tricks your body into over stretching.. I loathe hot yoga. Hatha yoga is a classical form of hoga where you hold then poses for quite a long time (you will build up the amount of time you can hold a...

WWYD schoolmaster allrounder vs potential dream horse?

It doesn't sound like you are excited about the gelding so I wouldn't go for him as I also need to feel excited about my horse. But i also would never go for an unseen horse as the horse could be a great horse but there may not be that magic spark between you. I really believe in that speical...

Show Jumping Yard / Lessons in or around London

Trent park equestrian centre: http://www.trentpark.com. I haven't personally had lessons there so can't give my opinion but I visited yesterday (as am also looking for a riding school) and they showed me around and had lots of professional show jumpers, dressage horses etc - they have horses...

    Exercise (rider) and riding

I swear by yoga (both Hatha and vinyasa flow).. It strengthens core muscles, lengthens muscles as opposed to shortening them as most exercise (gym type etc) does, improves flexibility and also works on cardio if you do lots of surya namaska (sun salutations) at the beginning. Regular yoga has...

    Am I over reacting

Well done for deciding to not ruffle feathers now.. Of course if it happens again then DEFINITELY say something then and there. Don't worry about it anymore, your mare will be fine as she is lucky to have a caring and sensitive owner as yourself. You have all the time in the world to give her...

    Am I over reacting

It's not acceptable to hit your horse... I would definitely speak to them very sternly about that and make it clear there will be no hitting the mare! But then I am an emotional person so maybe don't take what I say as advice! Hope you feel better soon x

    Conformation for an eventer

Hello, just want to say thank you all for your opinions! Really, really helpful. I wasn't planning on looking for a youngster, I was sort of thinking the 7/8 year old mark.. No way any younger than 6... I understand what you are saying about getting an older one but I really want a horse for...
