Yes I do - I have an affectation for all my animals, but a very special bond with my horse - been there for his birth and he is 19 years, we understand each other very well. He has more compassion and empathy for me than my OH does.
just wondering what it costs for a 2 & 5 stage vetting.
i usually have horses vetted before I buy -no bloods, and that is about $300-400 AUD.
It is enough for my purposes, none of the horses are that expensive but like an opinion from a vet.
Spare tyre. All fittings are easy to dismantle, in case of a problem with the horse. Extended head room for larger horse. These are what I wanted in my float.
I would have liked saddle- bridle rack in the float, and some lockable storage. Also possibly a place to store water for the horse so...
I would have the girl try her again a couple of times at your place and maybe out with her instructor, hacking etc. Kids can progress really quickly with the right pony, but giving her a few more chances is better than sending the pony there and it all being out of your hands. I have offered...

turn out with others - get a nh trainer or ih trainer or someone similar. Ideally when you start working with him, do not box him - keep him on turn out - they dont need to be in to be started
had a client with a saddlery shop - had some bad luck with equine flu and gfc, she did try online - it was tough, not in business - has to be easier ways to make money,
suggest you research it really well, and (if you decide to go ahead) start with a specialist area such as rugs or bits or...
I would have looked to rehome the younger ones but perhaps they were unsound or quirky, who knows, it does seem a bit of an odd decision. But also seems there must be more to it than in the article.in any case the horses won't suffer. I don't imagine it is something she did without thought.
