Another vote for the Escadron ones. They worked very hard last year and we didn't have any problems at all. Easy/quick to fit, secure and comfortable, offer great protection.
Just had to buy a new set though coz ours were kept in a bucket in the trailer and some bug*** nicked it! Grrr!
Mandymoo the Hunter Trial that it refers to on the Grove pc website isn't on till the 17th October! Look on the Grove and Rufford Hunt website for details of the one coming up in March
Don't go on the pony club website for this, it split into two, many years ago!! It's now Grove pc that run comps at Osberton, but they have nothing to do with this one. It's being run by the Grove and Rufford Hunt!
Grove and Rufford Hunt are running a Hunter Trial at Osberton on the 28th March, as far as I remember (I can't find where I have put the shedule!) they are planning on 75cm,90cm and 1.05cm classes. The shedules are on their website I think. I would think the course would be very much the same...
It looks beautiful..........but it's so frustrating!! We are already about a month behind with our fittening work coz we lost out at christmas but this is silly!! We live in Britain not Norway!!! we woke up early coz we were fence judging today, but it's totally white outside! What is with this...
I'm seconding Osberton. The competition this year is on the 21st feb ?? I think! It's run by East Midlands Dressage Group. Any info is on their website.
I think Yorks is Area 3 in Pony Club. Details of any comps should be on the Area website. pcuk.org Click on Branches on the left, then click...
I don't know if it's any help, but as a general rule of thumb my Dad always used to say within 2 hands. He used to breed hunters, mainly using old HIS stallions on part bred mares, but I always stuck to it when I was looking for stallions for my own mare. Really it's a matter of common sense to...
I laughed a lot when I saw this post! Yep, they lick. I like to think it's a form of affection, but maybe I'm just deluding myself....and yep, mine is definately willing to try anything he finds, a bit like babies put things in their mouths to explore their enviroment, so does he! haha! Though...
We drove all the way down there, an hour long journey!
Soooo gutted!
We then had to go and make ourselves feel better by buying a £100 Musto jacket and a KFC
I agree with Joss, whippy very easy.Lovely, lovely dogs and will willingly walk as much or as little as their owners want.....unless it's raining!!when they will be found snuggled anywhere warm. They are very understated, but everyone I know who has owned one wouldn't be without one. Much easier...
If he's already 14.2, then I would say he will very easy make over 15 hands. Remember that Welsh carry on growing and maturing until they are 7. It will depend on his breeding, how he will grow. Some families have growth spurts and then fill out, others just gently inch upwards.
Tuttlebum, she has only ridden him three times, all other times she has fussed over him, fed him and groomed him. Having seen him in action I would question going in a round pen with this horse, an escape route would be needed!! Though I take your point with join up I don't know how it could be...
