    transport needed, cambs to durham

Depend when you need moving but as a suggestion if you are in cambridgeshire then you may be somewhere close to Newmarket which is swamped with boxes. Also as of tuesday 9th the october yearling sales begin, there will be boxes up and down like billyo for a couple of weeks, also boxes from the...

This was just something the farms did for yearlings going to auction, i was a vet nurse so didn't see it being done but the barns stank!! you just put it directly on the coat but for how long i'm not sure, i couple of hours i reckon - maybe ask sportznight, seems to have had experience of it in...

I no longer feel comfortable posting here...

Ihave to say that when i started reading the vet forum as an ex vet nurse i was absolutely amazed at the wealth of knowledge that was shared on this sight and think it so sad that someone is so small minded as this person. I think you are all so wonderfully experienced and willing to help each...

very up right pasterns and hoofs

Ask your vet as im not sure about age and windows of opportunity (getting old and memory fuzzy!) but bandaging helps to slacken tendons and drop pasterns, if its beyond that then corrective shoeing, yes i know its a foal but they do it at the clinic i used to work at it in the states with...

    DMSO

DMSO is also a carrying agent. If you use it with something else it 'carrys' it through the skin etc. Thats why if you don't use gloves you can often get a funny taste in your mouth!

    Foaling - pain relief

I worked on studs in the states for 5 years they routinely give Banamine after foaling as prevention. Its not a drug used over here and i think its nearest comparison here is fairly weak. But i certainly think it eliminated post foaling colics brought on by cramps.

Grand Meadows - Mega Grand Flex. Anyone use it??

I cant help but have a word here. This is a new company in the U.K. but established in U.S. The 'other' company has little activity in the U.S. anymore due to patent issues that don't effect it here. G.M product takes 2-3 months to work because that is how long Glucosamine can take to work at...

Would there be a difference between these? (Diff forms of Corta-flx)

i think you will find that its about rate of absorption, liquid fastest and as you go through the dirrerent forms to the more solid the absorption takes longer. if you are already using the product but looking to change its format then i wouldn't worry.

Harv, i reccomend you to speak to Rood and Riddle equine hospital in lexington KY, www.roodandriddle.com . I used to work there and we did fire some horses but VERY specific cases (ankle oscillates if my memory serves) Larry Bramlage is THE vet to ask about this if you can get him but they are...

    IRAP for coffin joint arthritis

If the HA works have a look at www.kinesishealth.com which has a 100mg per serving pure HA gel to be given orally. If the injections work then this will, its daily and saves a packet compared to injaections. Hope it helps
