Hi,
Not sure about the Thorowgood synthetic saddles but I have a Kent and Masters pony saddle (so exactly the same tree but leather) for my short backed cob and have no issues with the flaps - I'm 5'2".
I got the saddle through Rideaway, and they told me it was possible to try the saddle...
Does anyone recommend a good farrier who will cover the Llanrhystud area?
Most people I know round here use one of two farriers, but I'm not overly happy with using either for various reasons so hoping to hear some positive recommendations before I start phoning around.
Thanks!
I'm hoping to get some advice over which insurers are easy to deal with and any to avoid in particular. I have absolutely no experiance insuring horses so am a little lost with this one!
I have a 9 yo mare arriving on full loan tomorrow and I want to insure her for vets fees up to a...
I know of fields burt down and have found plenty in fields which would ultimately be cut for hay or such, they are a menace! And I can second you never know where they will land - saw some let off on the beach on bonfire night and one landed on the walkway above the sea wall right infront of...
I came accross this e-petition on the farmers weekly webpage, I'm sure I am not the only member here who is not a fan of these, so if you would like to sign the pettion to try to get them banned here's the link:

I think they are still in the process of compiling this years list but if you register now you will be emailed when its avaliable. The adverts also state how much experiance each farm is...
I havn't tried riding in mine yet but I got some at the royal welsh last week and spent two whole days walking round in them - very comfy indeed! I imagine they will be quite supportive of your foot to ride in too (but could be wrong...)
Thanks guys, that has given me something to think about.....
Jeeve - your first post was roughly what I was thinking already.
As I've had a break from riding myself (and am a little bit hopeless at the best of times) I would like to get him lunging quietly with a saddle before I get on. But...
I was wondering if I could pick some brains over bringing horses back to work please :)
It's a bit of a long story but I have got myself a welsh cob that I need to get back in to work after a two year break, and having never done this sort of thing before (owner of said horse in the same...
A far as I know ivermectin won't work to treat external parasites unless given as a subcutaneous injection (or powder - never come across that before but sounds good). Don't bother giving any oral treatments, consult a vet. As a&t said, the advice should be free :)
Wah?
What C_C posted was perfectly accurate in the 'laymans terms' you are so fond of. Swap 'junk' for 'non-coding DNA' perhaps? Or if you still dont get it go and ask your daughter to explain that section of the post to you?
*headdesk* :(
As I have previously suggested, if you want...
Haha, I was going to keep out of it honest! ;) As I know nowt about it, but OP's attitude annoyed me greatly. Disputing opinion is one thing, but if you want evidence, and are not willing to accept perfectly sensible comments without it....go and look it up ffs!
You shouldn't claim lack of...
