I work on a livery yard and havent been putting any rugs on lately. Although it was heavy rain last night and i got to work this morning to find everything [including the shetland and gypsy cob] shivering like mad!! I did feel a bit guilty! :o
Sadly i think thats what im going to have to do. Didn't want to mess the poor horse and his owner about but he is way more difficult than his owner made him out to be :(
I do like the horse but he's not easy to ride or handle so not sure if i would easily find a sharer for him?! I dont have time to ride him everyday of the week [which he needs to stay sane!] so if i were to keep him i would need a sharer

My new horse seems to be frightened of most things but mainly bikes! Going to start riding one round the yard to get him used to it!! Im an evil mummy:o
I have loaned horses and put one out on loan. I think as long as both parties are honest about about what they want and expect from the loan and you draw up a comprehensive contract it can work well.
I tried leaning over him and he panicked and bolted! Was thinking of getting him a wintec with the cair system as the saddle he came with is old and dont think its worth getting it re-flocked ect.
Ive taken a horse on loan that is fab in loads of ways except this mounting issue. He will regularly turn into a bucking bronco when im getting on but once im on and get him moving he settles down. Had his back checked so next will be checking his saddle apart from that dont know what else to...
