If you are Leicestershire, use Owen at Kings Hill in Nuneaton.
They are fantastic, to the extent I still call them even though I've now moved to Devon.
Funeral directors couldn't do a better job with a human. They are second to none.

The bones in my wrist immobilised years ago. I ended up with 3 surgeries on my right hand in 11 weeks (with 6 horses on my own yard).
I got on with it and still do (thumb and wrist splints for heavy work) but it depends on what the surgeon says and what the MRI comes back with how debilitated...
If I were to reccommend anything, I'd probably suggest fitzworthy, but that's quite a distance, in cornwood.. I know the people who own and run it and you could do far worse than spend time there..
I have 7 feral Dartmoor hill pony yearlings direct from the moor. They are kept on the country estate I work on and are utilised very successfully by the estate for conservation grazing and by our charity for supported learning and volunteering for NEET and vulnerable/behavioural/disabilities...
I don't like the legs tbh..
I have an old Sherpa rug.. Double fleece, full neck and face.. Pretty much the same but no legs..
I don't rug often, or to excess, but a few winters ago I had a very poorly horse who had to be kept extra toastie on vets orders.. He had the Sherpa under a...

It's very subjective..
An arthritic cushingoid 16 year old horse...
Here you go RG: my Maje, Sisko and Rhana..
They weight 40-50kg each.. Each is full with cremulated remains (crushed to sand).. The caskets are around a foot cubed in dimensions..
No. I've not back my 3 or 4 year olds yet.
My 4yo was an extremely sick foal and is still catching up..
CBs mature later anyway.
My 3yo gets tack on and has been leant on but that's it..
I took on an 11yo Dutch Wb SJ who was being shot..
She fractured her shoulder and wouldn't jump again so was being despatched.. I was offered her or she was finished..
She's 16 in November.. Field sound and has the odd light hack.. She loves her attention and affection and is a content...
I wear mine virtually all day for work and stables.. I've not ridden in them though.. Very comfortable and support my poor fibro ridden lower legs better than anything else I've worn in the last 18 months
I'm no further help, but my SJ mare is very asymmetric in her shoulders.. She is 15, and has been retired (bar the odd hack in walk) since she was 9 due to breaking her shoulder..
I'd reccommend having a look at his diagonal hind too as it could be a referred issue from his hindquarters...
