Hi All,
Sadly our yard has been sold to developers, really gutted as it's such a fabulous place.
Can anyone help with the following:
DIY livery dichling/ burgess hill/ hassocks areas
Must have AYTO (herd grazing preferably)
Great hacking
School a bonus
Laid back friendly people, no...
My tb x trotter was out naked yesterday, she had a lovely roll. Will do the same today. Most horses r better off without rugs, it's us owners who feel they need them. Don't listen, complete fools :)
Dually everytime. My friend has a rope halter on her bolshy sec d, didn't work. Now is using my dually. Works a treat! Get second Hand off eBay with DVD
Horrible!! They're horses they should b out. No amount of toys or half hour in the school can make up for turnout. I find it really sad when horses r kept out of their natural environment, no socialising with others, feeding how nature intended etc breaks my heart.
I have one! After a nasty fall months ago and the fact I have a baby horsey needed something to hang on to, and help my confidence.
Haven't needed it till today when ponio was fall of it after an injury. Reared and bronced due to overexcitement, definitely helped, specially with the bucks...
I'm with ladyT25, I couldn't tolerate this no turnout rubbish. My mare is a horse afterall, she should be out! I recently moved yards where I had amazing facilities but no all year turnout. Left within 2 weeks. My mares well-being comes before anything.
My current yard has lovely big fields...
Thank u for your reply, yes there's always company. They only come in at night and pretty much go out together. The stable he is in at the mo is like a pen with 3 planks of word for a door so a guard won't work.
He has a treat ball but is a bit of a fatty so dosent have much in terms of...
Hi all, my friend has a 4 yr old welsh sec d who keeps jumping out of his stable. She's at her wits end as YO won't allow ponio to stay out 24/7.
Before she throws the towel in and moves to grass livery, anyone got any advice? We have 2 type stables, barn type and old stable block. Have tried...
I was on a yard few months ago, YO said it was ayto, failed to tell me if it rained she dosent let them out. Madness!! I left within 2 weeks. My mare is now happy as larry at her new yard where she goes out whatever the weather!
Thanks for the replies- I'll try alternating, I supposed fear is if at some point during a hack we have to wait behind, I want her to behave, not throw her weight around. She's happy to lead but Amber isnt a fan of going behind, so as my mare is still a baby I want her to be flexible and not end...
I'm going to lead her in her dually halter and try that. I wouldn't say it's napping, more competitiveness perhaps. I haven't tried her in front as I want her to learn she has to behave whatever her position during the hack.
Once before I lunged her but she still did it. It would seem this...
When I hack my little mare out with an Arab mare from our yard she goes bonkers. Starts little rears and little bronks. Anyone experienced this? I ride her through it, but can be rather dangerous on the road.
She only does it with Amber who normally leads.
Any advice for a cure would be...
