jumping doubles oxer in - help!

I am having a bit of a confidence crisis with doubles but only when it's oxers going in. I've never really liked them but as Miss R has moved up this season and out of BN to Disco and 95 opens I have been burrowing her in too deep to the oxer and she is having to twist/add an extra stride to get...

    ****Weekend Plans****

No competing for Miss R and I this weekend. Will school her today and then tomorrow I'm judging U/A SJ at the yard and then a lesson after. Am now an official baby BS SJ judge, which I'm enjoying as it is interesting to see things from the other side of the fence :) Mainly just doing junior...

    Moody mare supplements

Hi all, Not been on here recently, but I'm back :) Miss R is doing well, lots of SJ and thinking of moving up to newcomers soon - gulp!!! My question regards mare supplements. Miss R always seems to get grumpier and spookier when she comes into season. Not bad to ride but definitely...

    ****Weekend Plans****

Have a great birthday! Miss R and I have two days of BS showjumping over the weekend. Almost out of BN moneywise (qualified for 2nd rounds :) ) so going to start with a 95cm open then a 1m Disco/scope qualifier on the Saturday and then play Sunday by ear! Good luck to everyone competing :)

Hope you're feeling better today!! I'm a bit late to the thread but I'm up in Aberdeen too, and from the pics have definitely seen you and Ludo at the Cabin, he is a lovely boy :) If you're looking for a coach who will be a stickler for your position then PM me as have a good suggestion.

    Showjumping Hats?

PROtector all the way! Had a GPA speedair before and I love my PROtector, which fits perfectly. Ordered it online and they were very helpful sending me a measuring kit and keeping me up-to-date on when it would arrive.

    A Ripley update

Thanks :) She's an Irish Sport Horse (TB and Irish Draught). Don't know much about her lineage but on the TB side she has northern dancer lines. Can tell you one thing she loves to jump!!! I bought her from measles almost 2 years ago now when she was rising 4.

    Buying Parlanti boots?

Hi, I bought some Parlanti boots this summer but I bought mine from Equiport. Mine aren't custom made but they fit like they are. Must say I really like them and they took no time to break in. Equiport were very helpful and the order went smoothly. Feel free to ask any questions :)

    A Ripley update

Firstly, hi everyone have been off the forum for awhile as things have been crazy busy! I got married in September then had to move down to Edinburgh for work for 6 weeks but now back and settled. As a result Miss R had most of October and November off and our last competition was in...

    Childeric saddles?

I have one and love it :) Have had it for about 3 years now and it is definitely wearing well. As TarrSteps said they are very popular in NA and as a former Canadian resident I was really happy to find I could buy one over here. I had a devoucoux previously and must say I prefer my Childeric...

    Sometimes radical experiments surprise you...

Will try jumping her on friday and see how we go. I've been practicing tighter turns on the flat and she has been very responsive so hopefully that will remain with the excitement of jumping :) TarrSteps, tried her the first time in an English Hackamore and the second time in a whitaker...

    Sometimes radical experiments surprise you...

Hi Kerilli, Thanks for your reply. Yup turning is something I'm definitely a bit worried about. She is very straightforward to a fence so not too concerned about that, more about jump-off turns in the future as currently working on getting just nice fluid double clears in BN in Disco. She...

    Sometimes radical experiments surprise you...

Ok, well maybe radical is a bit strong but outside the box definitely. As you may remember I have had quite the time trying to find a bit that Miss R likes. On the flat she can be very fussy with her head always fighting the bit etc. Her teeth etc have all been checked and no problems. On...
