    Barefoot laminitis help!!!

Thank you all for the replies. I will ditch the protexin and I have ordered some stuff from trinity consultants and will try that instead. I cant really keep her in overnight on her own but will wire her off a tiny piece of paddock and soak her hay. I haven’t heard of tetany in horses but will...

    Barefoot laminitis help!!!

Hi all, I have a 6 year old warmblood, barefoot mare who is really struggling with the grass. I bought her last autumn and she coped fine on good grass at that point and fine all winter. As far as I know she was out on grass all last summer without issue apart from being overweight. she is now...

    Sweeping machines?

I have one of those and its pretty good but the cord is quite limiting and I guess a petrol version would be quite heavy.

    Sweeping machines?

Anyone have one? I used to have a walk behind green machine, but it was cumbersome and needed lots of maintenance. I'm after a battery operated machine ideally that's up to the job and will cope with wet leaves and a bit of mud. Any suggestions would be great, thank you!

    Dust free bedding pellets???

Hi all, Just thinking ahead to the summer.....! I have been using Liverpool wood pellets for two horses for a couple of years. I love them, they work really well for me and would stick with them, BUT they are so dusty in the summer. Both horses are quite clean and I throw very little...

Hind gut ulcer treatments plus how do you diagnose?

i have a horse I suspect might have some hind gut ulcers or irritation. Since swapping feeds he's loads better but not quite "cured" he's had thunderbrooks liquid gold and Gut restore powder, the latter he is still on. Any other suggestions that don't cost the earth? Also, does anyone know a...

Unusual joint problem in a three year old

My vet doesn't really want to scan or X-ray. He says it's better to wait and see what happens. I suppose he's thinking we might see the odd bone chip and that may or may not be the cause and we go off on an expensive journey "fixing" things. If it was just one joint affected, the we would have x...

Unusual joint problem in a three year old

He hasn't had a test for this so I will certainly mention it to my vet. He has no pain on palpitation and he isn't lame, so I very much hope it's not DSLD.

Unusual joint problem in a three year old

I have a three year old warmblood with a very strange problem. He is prone to enormous windgalls in all four fetlocks but particularly the hinds. He gets bursal swellings in his hocks and on the back of all four pasterns. His hind fetlocks are still weak and a bit slack. This is more obvious...

    New Look H & H

Well, I like it! I think it's modern and less cluttered. And yes, I'm middle aged and yes, I need to put my reading glasses on. The font in places is a bit small but apart from that I think it's a positive change.
