May I ask how much roughly it was? Still an option for mine as steroids no longer working :(
A friend of mine had arthramid in her older horses knees and he is now back jumping etc.
Again no first hand experience but my vet wants to use it in my little ones shoulder arthritis, he's had and heard of lots of success. I think in a year or two there'll be lots more cases, but as reports claim it can last 'years' I guess it should hopefully be a while until there are lots of...
Thanks all, glad it's not totally unheard of! He's just not himself, better than yesterday, but still not quire right. I gave him some bute as vet advised to. He's also just been away for the weekend at riding club camp so perhaps he was feeling a bit tired and low and the vacc has just tipped...
Has anyone had a horse react badly? I know it does happen, but I've not experienced it before so currently very worried!
Vet came yesterday and jabbed at about 3pm, at half 5 I went to catch in again and he was stood in the corner of the field looking thoroughly miserable. Bought in, tied up...
I remember when she got them! We both got ours as weanlings at the same time if I remember correctly... So her two girls should be 5 this year too!? How are they doing?
Of course you have to get one... Everyone needs a Shetland to wake up to!
I don't have any myself, but from what I've heard on social media / friends PE don't generally have the best reputation for their boots. I was only reading a post on a Facebook group this afternoon where someone had been having issues with slipping / twisting and on one boot the inside plastic...
Haven't read all the replies so apologies if I'm just repeating..!
My friends horse is a pain to bit, he also has aural plaque. She has a bridle with clip cheek pieces, unclips the left hand side (standing on left side) and gives a treat whilst putting the ears through headpiece/browband, and...
Have a look at the equilibrium massage pads. I think they're great for warming their backs up before getting on. My boy can be a little bit sharp in the winter when I first get on but if I put the pad on first he's going.
Syringing. My little one had been on and off different antibiotics / bute, he will not eat it no matter what I put it in so syringing is the best way to know what he's had.
I used to ride in glasses but just wear contacts now anyway. I do occasionally wear them now but they just irritate me, especially when it's rainy or really hot!
I once had a rotational fall and the only real damage caused by my glasses was actually where the rammed into my face and cut me...
I looove poo picking in the summer! I have 3 out 24/7 as soon as it's warm enough and I poo pick twice a day so it's easy.
There's nothing quite the same as warm, happy ponies mooching around and snoozing near you when it's beautiful sunshine and 20 degrees at 7pm :)
My little was just weighed at the vets and was 180kg. I'm unfortunately not entirely sure on his height but I would guess around 9hh max (very chubby!) and not as stocky as most.
I'd go for 250kgs.
Not sure if this has already been posted but has anyone seen this?

How ridiculous...
