Mine did his years ago. Not as severe as yours though as he didn't need surgery. We cast it and he was in about 3 months.
It was absolute hell. He was climbing the walls, I was pregnant at the time which didn't help life. When it came to walking out in hand he was lethal so in the end my vet...
Afternoon All,
My mare has been on Regumate for a couple of years now. She's a much nicer horse on it for everyone.
However, I'm very aware it's not ideal to be on it long term and especially for the yard staff to be handling it every day.
I've chatted to a few vets about GnRH...
So coincidentally I had a chat with my vet last week. She said she'd really prefer to give mine a break as she hasn't had one at all (last winter I kept her on it).
Her field mates were in season last week, I'm hopeful that will be their last of the year. So my plan is I'll wait 3 weeks from...
Always the left. Weirdly in my old box which was much smaller she struggled but would then turn a full 270o clockwise to end up facing to the left ! She is very flexible both ways in general though
My horse is generally pretty good to get in the box, she travels well. But getting her to turn her bum herringbone to put partitions across is really challenging! It's like she can't work it out and then when she does her bum touches the partition and she tries to come back out. We've done lots...
Having a 7.5t built and need to choose the colour. We can have literally anything as long as it's one colour.. Leaning towards mid metallic grey to try and hide branch scratches etc. I love a really ultra marine blue but worry it will show everything. Flash your lorries!
I'm selling my Iveco as I need more horse space and it's just not big enough length wise. I've seen a very very old Merc 814 that has a perfect loading set up for my horse but it is well over 30 years old, albeit incredibly low mileage and looks immaculate with clean plating for years.
Would you...
My mare has been on regumate since Easter as she was clearly quite uncomfortable which coincided with her ovulating. She's generally quite sassy on the ground and a bit of a baggage to other horses, but always good in the saddle thankfully.
As it's so expensive I thought I could probably take...
