I have not actually had experience in this area (Thank God!) but I have heard camrosa ointment, crest toothpaste (or macleans, anything that contains titanium dioxide) and exxtera recommended (however, exxterra is very irritating, and may cause major irritation).
i have not had personal heart murmer experiences, as i would never buy a horse with a heart murmer, no matter how mild.
grade 5 is very severe, in fact, in grade 5 you can actually feel the heart murmer through the chest wall.
