    My secret addiction - Tattle

But why women? Why not people? Or are you saying there is something about being a woman that makes one more likely to be bitchy?

    My secret addiction - Tattle

Nice misogyny there - "bitching" isn't an inherent trait of women ?

    Retirement Livery North UK

I kept my horse at CRL for about 4 years and was very happy with his care - I could see him whenever I wanted (and often arrived unannounced) and never had any concerns. My other horse spent about 9 months for rehab with CRT and couldn't fault how well he was looked after.

Why is the horse world so toxic.

I am torn on this. On the one hand, yard managers absolutely should say when a horse is overweight and where possible support the owner to make the changes necessary. On the other hand it sounds as though the OP is on top of the situation, including having advice from the vet. The crux of the...

Using iPhone as Sat Nav in lorry

How do you get lorry mode? Low bridges are my fear!

    My loan went home ?

Whether horses have previously been kept on their own is pretty irrelevant in this case. OP you are in a very difficult situation - are you in the position to get another to keep her company? If not, and if it looks as though the horse is going to be suffering from separation anxiety in the long...

    suspensory injury and professional rehab?

My horse put his foot through a gate and ended up horrifically damaging his suspensory, including fracturing sesamoid bone. We had no idea whether he would come sound again let alone be ridden so treated him with PRP, followed by 2 months at a physio rehab (this didn't include long reining or...

    Am I just being soft?

If a horse is shivering violently that is when you put the rug straight on not leave them out in the rain.

    AIBU?

Completely agree with this - you need your horses first outing to be a positive experience and that is less likely if you are being used as emotional support rather than focusing on your horses needs. Would also say that the issue seems to less with A and more with B. You need to establish very...

How to deal with new people on the yard that you really don’t wanna interact with !

If they are not the sort of people you like why do you care about their opinion? Just ignore them and crack on for the next 14 days. When children come running into the school, send them out - or run them over depending on your mood.

Can anyone recomend a free speech horse forum ?

https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/the_tack_room You absolutely don't need to be a parent (or even like children ;-)) plus you are allowed to swear! The founders /ownerw have stood firm against all sorts of harassment and bullying - they don't pull threads just because they worry about losing...

    Those on full livery.

    1. The level of care - it is exceptional and they do notice the small things. They will always go out of their way if a horse needs something different/out of the routine doing. 2. I'd live closer! 3. As someone said above I do miss the day to day details that you get when you're looking...

Very confused - thoughts very welcome!

Yes, that is a real possibility especially over the drier months. May well be worth trying keeping his boots on in the field (it is just he has a tendency to loose them in the field ?‍♀️)

Very confused - thoughts very welcome!

He is under the care of vet and physio - he has had ongoing lameness due to winter laminitis previously which is why we have removed shoes - the current plan is to do work up in next few weeks if there has been no improvement after physio treatment etc. I guess I'm just wanting to explore ideas...

Not lost muscle at all - in fact looks really well, especially over the back.
