So I guess I am looking for shared experiences, recommendations or suggestions on my quandary.
I have a very sweet horse who (due to time and other commitments) I haven't done much competing with this year. Prior to this? He has done an awful lot with me.

About advertise my horse and if I'm honest, for the right price I would settle for 4*!!! I'm not selling a £20k horse so why should I assume someone who is browsing under £10k is able to offer a solarium, swimming pool and hand picked meadow grass for him to snack on!!

Where do you find GOOD staff?
I mean a good sole charge groom with 15years experience, 30yo+ That can be left alone for weeks to run the place.
Career grooms recommendations are mostly too young, yard and groom applicants are generally too inexperienced.

That sounds like an awful lot of food for a convalescing horse. The absorption of nutrients may be the issue and you may benefit from adding a balancer such as pink powder.
If he is still growing, this will be where the food is going, this will just be a matter of time. Do you have any pictures?
