Thanks guys, brought a bit of reality to my thoughts!
Dubsie, i enquired about that job a few years ago but my situation didn't allow at the time, I still fancy it too though!
I'm considering the idea of trying to work the show season, maybe on tradestands or doing anything really.
I love going to shows, I love the idea of moving to a different place each week or so and am not afraid of hard work, though admittedly I am a little afraid of camping.
Has anyone done...
Oh I never even knew there was a showground in Stirchley. Though I haven't lived here very long so I guess I can be let off? Are human only spectators welcome? I have no transport for neddy, though we could probably hack there with a bit more fitness (for both of us!)
I'm just here for the cake tbh, I read that far...
Can't say I've read every post since, but, I'd like to put a good word in for 12 year olds, I know some that are amazing with the horses that they care for and I often have to remind myself how old they are because they act well beyond thier...

That and never having to adjust my stirrup leathers....
I'd definately say dark colours, you don't want to blend into him, black trousers, white shirt and black waistcoat sounds good to me, so long as it's in the class rules. Remember it's about the over all picture of the two of you together. Look what the handlers of other winning greys are wearing.
He's gorgeous. I'd ride him for a free holiday!
There are websites like WorkAway.info that advertise to people willing to work in exchange for accomodation. Obviously there are downsides to this and not suitable for everyone but it could be a solution for some.
I must be pretty lucky.
I've shared 3 horses over the years, have found each of them fairly quickly (my current one before I'd even moved to the area) and with a few compromises they have all been exactly what I've wanted. And, as far as I know, I have been able to offer the owners what they...
