Where can one ride an Arabian?

A few years ago there was a riding stables in the Oxted/Godstone area that only used Arab horses. Can't for the life of me remember its name though. Sorry!

    Part livery around Woking, Surrey?

I can recommend Glendell Equestrian. They are in Pirbright with hacking straight out onto the Pirbright Ranges.

    Pet hates at shows?

Just a few pet hates: I occasionally xc collecting ring steward at ODEs and get really wound up when minor names demand to be bumped up the board as they have so many horses to ride and must be back for their dressage in an hour. Had a full on discussion with a couple of professionals at...

Turnout rug help - the broader horse

For my draft mare either Weatherbeeta or Horseware fit nicely. The Shires chest isn't wide enough. Just discovered that having bought her the chicken print rug. Devasted. Requisite do fit the wider chests, but the quality isn't great.

    New line carriages?

Hate to say it. But avoid, client of mine has one and we've had some issues. I also not too happy with build of George James Carriages, again another client has one and we've had to have a few parts replaced and strengthened.

    Riding/trekking stables on exmoor

Brendon Manor - Rode with them when twice I was 15, then when I was 25. So that means I'm due for a repeat visit in 2 years time. Rode with my OH when I was 25, I queried the horse they allocated my very novice OH and they changed his mount no questions or arguments. On the downside two of my...

just for fun-the worst horsey person you ever come across!

The 'animal communicator' who decided to hang round my mare's neck whilst we were giving wagon rides. My girl hates people putting their arms round her, stroke and pats - yes please! Full on hugs no thanks! She couldn't tell from my mare's body language, fidgeting and flat back ears that she...

When you don't rug are you made to feel mean.......

One of my drafts is rugged, only as I've had her clipped as we've had lots of carriage work to do. But my new girl is out naked, she's lovely and fluffy, came from the edge of Bodmin Moor 4 weeks ago and has never had a rug on (or been in a stable in her life). I am getting the odd comment and...

    Brushing boots for cobs?

Try Blue Horse Equine. They do mainly for heavy horses, but they might have something that will fit your cob.

    Would you use this product?

Presents only horsey people ask for!

I've asked this year for harness for new horse. I was delighted last year with a set of ratchet spanners and socket set for the lorry and carriages.

    Favourite thing about your horse?

That I can trust her Ladyship with anyone regardless of horse experience, and know that she won't harm or hurt them. And I can throw kids up on her bareback with just a head collar and lead rope and she will just potter round the yard with them on board. Not sure on my new one yet (only got...
