** oh just realised you meant the whole shell is glittered - i'll have another look ;)
i have the same problem as my horse always overjumps massively so i loose them. i bought some of the continental reins (used to have really nice flexible rubber grip ones) and they've made a huge difference. i still occasionally lose my reins but less often and its easier to keep an even rein...
thinking about going to try a horse but debating whether it's worth it or not as not sure if he's too old. he is a 16yr old grade A competing up to 1.45. so obviously there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with his jumping now but i'm wondering in two years he would probably have to step down...
They are absolutely worth it! My horse has a big jump and I used to always lose my stirrups with normal ones, then I got jin stirrups which helped but not as effective. I finally got my freejump's and I love them! I've had them about a year now and haven't lost a stirrup yet! *touch wood* I...
I know of horse transporters (with a driver) in herts which I use to go to Patchetts, but it will cost you a minimum of £100+ and I think if you can rent a box, even though it's expensive its a lot cheaper than hiring with a driver.
I have both (jin and freejumps) but I had the jin's first and they're really good. they're very grippy so its harder to lose your stirrup and i found it easier to keep my heels down and stay in the saddle. I prefer my freejumps but I really like jin and recommend them :)
I used to have the Albion K2 but like you found it wasn't giving me the best support, I bought an Antares (similar to Devoucoux) and it is lovely. I bought the monoflap and it has given my a lot more support and is more comfortable, I also find that my horse jumps better with it. I got a new one...
just checked and you can enter as many as you like for ponies in all classes as long as the owner is happy (?)) yet for seniors you can only enter regional and one other for BN & Disc and then any four for NC and Fox
Senior NC & Fox: 'Qualified horses are eligible to be entered and to compete...
thats only for british novice and discovery - probably because everyone wants to qualify for HOYS so they give you more chances as only newcomers and fox hunter have their finals there
you need 4 double clears at newcomers level (height in first round: 1m) before the 30th April 2014 (to qualify for next years second rounds) and winnings must not exceed £299 notational at the time of qualifying (you can still enter the second rounds if by then your pony has jumped out of...
