Blimey.... that does seem pricey, my last bill was 97 pounds, for dental, sedation, flu jab and a quick lameness check. I did travel to the vets but still....
I'm trying a 5 point breastplate from morris and nolan, I have bought XXF. Even the XF jeffries was very tight. I'm not sure if they do the larger sizes in the hunter breastplates, but worth an ask. They sell them at risley saddlery.
Im waiting for payment for a bill from the start of December. I rang them and was told they are working through a large backlog and they said they are quoting 30 days from invoice to payment.
I did my old rice trailer in hammerite, actually came up surprisingly well. Sanded and wiped down first. I was told that once I'd done it in the hammerite it would be iimpossible to paint over again though. I made sure to pick the 'smooth', not hammered finish. Trailer had enough dents as is!

Hurrah, I am also going on my own on Saturday...look for the massive lazy Irish Draught called Ted!
Glad someone else is going to be sleeping in their trailer, everyone seems to think i'm mad for trying it!
If you want someone who really knows, the guy from warwickshire trailers knows everything about old Rices. He would be worth a bell. I think from memory he said the Europas tend to have flat lower panels on some parts (jockey door, front ramp?) And have the rounder window, whereas the beaufort...
I believe it is the same as my previous trailer which was if I remember correctly a Rice Beaufort Popular? Made in the 70s and still going strong today (with a new floor). Very heavy but sturdy. I think the plate on it, or a number on the axle indicated the age of it, in case you needed this...
I have the 511 with a left hand ramp, our local dealer stocks left hand ramps as standard. As you tend to travel a single horse on the right it makes for a much easier unload. My horse is 17.1, in 6'9" rugs and would find it tricky to negotiate a right hand ramp. So, unless I was hunting I think...
