And this is him at his first CIC...
*saunters in, alerted to this thread by a FB friend* Hi folks, long time no see! Just had to comment as this is a pony I imported from Ireland, straight out of a field in Galway having done some hunting, we produced him from BE90 to CIC* in one season as he was so bold and such a jumping...
Agree with this, but it could of course also be crookedness in the rider ;) Quite a few instances I have experienced of clients with this difficulty is that they are sliding to the outside as they ask for canter - and of course, the horse will always follow the rider's weight... The difficulty...
I hardly ever come on here anymore but happened to drop in, and I can't tell you how happy I am to read this! Everything xd that he continues to go from strength to strength, he certainly looks as though he feels well again 😊😊😊
I don't find I ever need to go higher than 90cm-1m for bounces: you can increase the degree of difficulty/athleticism required by increasing the number (we go up to five) and/or messing with the distances. This is for Intermediate/Advanced event horses.
So glad I saw this as I hardly ever come on here anymore (must be November!) - saw te photos on FB but wasn't sure you'd won, biggest congatulations, all the hard work is paying off! I have always felt that Fig had everything it takes, nice to see I was right ;) :D
It is impossible to price horses on paper really, you have to look at the inidividual. A friend of mine has just sold a 6yo for 100k, on paper he probably looks much the same as horses advertised for 25k. A horse is worth what someone will pay for it - cliche I know, but happens to be true ;)
Lots of good advice already, which you've picked up on. The only thing I would add is that I don't think your choice is to sell now or keep till next season and try Int, I think readvertising in February (ish, basically at the first sign of approaching spring 2015!) as fit and aring to go would...
You're welcome :) But just noticed another thing above: just to be clear, if you were to have a second stop at the same combination (God forbid!) it is actually 40 penalties for the second stop, so 60 in total - worth avoiding if you can help it ;)
