    Another Sarcoid Thread!

Hi, my boy developed a few sarcoids and I was going to leave them until one presented under his girth area which interfered when ridden. I had the Liverpool cream treatment and it worked fantastically at clearing that one and another on his sheath. The cream was very aggressive and the area was...

    Feed help please.

If you are being serious about what you are feeding you will more likely kill your pony through obesity than make him any fitter or faster. Alpha A oil is a conditioning feed used to put weight on poor doers NOT for fatties. Also competition mix is extremely high in calories so will also only...

    Embryo Transfer recipient mare

Thank you for the replies, I may well consider them if I have not found a home for her before April!

    Embryo Transfer recipient mare

Thank you, her first foal was with Newcombe and East, I would prefer a 'private' home as it is easier to keep in contact and see how she is doing. I have contacted both Twemlows and Beaufort today as fall back options but neither are taking mares until april/may. Would ideally like to find...

    Embryo Transfer recipient mare

I have a lovely mare who has now been a recipient mare for two lovely embryo transfer foals. She is only 7 but cannot be ridden as she is too dangerous, so would not want her to have her own foals. She loves this job and is a really good mum, really easy to do on the ground, more like a dog than...

    trailer test- hitching and unhitching?

I took the trailer test this year and did an intensive training course beforehand. According to the people who trained me for the test and the examiner you do need to remove the numberplate. I was told I did not have to do this physically, just tell the examiner that I would do it and then...

    feed storage

Order feed from Chestnut Horse Feeds and it comes deliveredin a rodent proof bin! They then collect the empty ones and bring new full ones when you're ready. I've managed to get rid of all my old dustbins and now the rats have moved out due to lack of food :)

anyone heard of claire a dealer from coventry?

Do not go anywhere near her if you care for your horses and others around you. She is bad news, I feel sorry for the horses she has but do not take the risk especially if you have other horses around.

The best treatment for a flesh wound

Hi, I always use veterinus derma gel on any flesh wounds. I clean out with warm salt water first and then apply the derma gel, I have found the hair always grows back normal colour and it's also a good barrier against flies!

losing confidence with difficult TB - I need help!(long, and rambling, sorry!)

Hi, What are you feeding your TB? I have had the same problems with my TB in the past. He is an ex-racehorse who had serious issues, we used to ride out in a group but he would get too excited by the other horses and throw a strop rearing, bucking, spinning round and some amazing dressage...
