2025 Eventing Euros - long list

The coverage will be by the Fei. The bbc won't have any say over what is shown and are really only able to commentate on what they are seeing on their monitors.

On the abundance of crowd shots, not every fence will have a feed camera so if there aren't any horses at fences where there's a camera then the feed will cut away.
Which is why the £25 for Burghley is such good value….

I think we know it's FEI, they keep telling us 🤣 I'd have thought blenheim easier the others to provide footage for given the course loops back on itself so much. (which is why it's a good course in person too).

just had a long shot of crowd crossing and they cut to a horse they definitely could have shown footage over earlier fences but didnt

Ok. I take it back. Laura judged it just right! 🤣. Well done her. I just felt whilst watching her that she was having to drive him forward more than usual.

How old is Chipmunk now? He must be getting on.

BBC are just taking the camera feeds, and graphics. They aren't producing them. Amazing that supporters have this free to watch, from the the first horse to the last - really enjoyed the being able to watch the whole event.
Yes I absolutely agree with you - I believe that what we saw on the BBC today is the same as the CMH.TV and FEI.TV livestream footage, so I think we've done very well to get it for "free" (obviously depending on handing aTV Licence)! 😊

Tbh I’d rather pay £25 for a Burghley TV style service, and get the dressage and decent coverage. The BBC isn’t free and their aggressive enforcement tactics rankle.
Not just the dressage, first horse inspection, and I really like interviews done, but in a small inset box which meant you didn’t miss the horse on the cross country..,
As the coverage went on today, the director started to improve his work…,
Plus how much is a TV licence these days?

Another fall not shown. Think it may be deliberate but

I'm really pleased we had anything available via BBC. I would not have been pleased if I had paid a subscription for the coverage, but it was better than the usual nothing!
Absolutely! I’m very disappointed that a specialist equestrian provider couldn’t provide such basics as a reliable clock for much of the day. I ended up keeping one eye on the live results on the website and one on the TV screen. Still, great commentary and good to see the interviews with Laura Collett and Michael Jung at the end. I’m very grateful to the BBC for giving us what coverage they could, but wonder whether any of the combined World Championships in Aachen next year will be shown. I did rather wish I’d been there, though (love the atmosphere of a European Championship).
